What kind of paint did you use on your grill?

I wonder if its safe against rock chips. That's our problem here!

It looks go so far. How about doing inside the rear wheelwells and painting the xB emblem black to make it looked finished?
How do the tails look when lit up?

i like the grill but i hope you did lots of coats with a nice flexible clear. a few coats of clear. the scion emblem isnt hideous when it's painted black.

looks good.

Looks great! What I think would look good is if you painted the "SCION" lettering of the emblem yellow.

i used a dupicolor paint. it's made for cars i guess

1. i sanded down the clear coat that was on there.
2. i shot the grill with 3 or 4 layers of primer
3. shot like 4 or 5 coats of black
4. shot like 4 or 5 clear coats

looks like it should be able to withstand rocks and stuff. the paint is pretty thick.

i only painted the housing of the tails. i left the red ball reflector unpainted, so it lights up like usual, just a different look. it works the same way.

i was thinking the same idea, but it would have been too much trouble...
