Default Close to buying an xB

Hi to all, a newbie to the site. My wife and I are getting close to buying an xB (we are selling our 02 Dodge Crap-O-Van). It is supposed to get 18 city/24hwy milage but for the past 6 months is 11/14 and no one at the Dodge dealership has a clue why. Anyway we have been looking at a Toyota Prius, for the same reasons everyone else is but my wife thinks they are ugly, plus we don't want to wait until hades freezes over to get one. We drove a xB at the dealership here in Springfield Illinois and she just fell in love with this little box. What amazed me the most was the interior room, it felt like we were in a much larger vehicle, (plus the gas milage). Personally I'm a big VW fan (I have a restored 66 bug, and a 03 New Beetle Turbo S), but I was very impressed with the Scion. well, I don't want to bore you all to death, I just wanted to stop by, say hi, and like most newbie's I'll be reading over many of the posts learning much and searching alot on the site.

I really like the way the prius's look; and then again, regardless of the general populous's opinion, I admire any cars that break out of the same old boring mold.

While part of me is a bit unsure of the xB's outrageously box-like design, another part loves it just because someone took their ***** out of their purse and took a chance on something new and interesting.

I like VW's for certain reasons, but really I think I would feel a bit strange owning a car made by a company commissioned by Hitler (although it was a very amazing and practical method to provide cars to the masses).

When I went to order my xB at the dealership this past Saturday the 10th, I saw a Prius. They wanted $29xxx for it. WOW. Thats an xB for you and one for your wife. Of course the Prius did have leather interior. Now....the long 4-6 week wait, hasn't even been a week yet I think it will be closer to two months. Hope I'm wrong.

Default Yeah why buy a $6000 premium corolla aka prius

Id rather have the corolla infact my family has one 03 LE auto gas milege is about 38ish impressive. How much is the maintance going to cost for the prius in a few years? New batterys. I like the XB just as much prius and save you alot of money.

Hambug
Pull the trigger and order that xB right away. From my own experience, I drive a 4x4 suburban and the wife has the xB and I am always fighting with her so I can drive the xB. For the price and mileage you can not go wrong or find a better vehicle suited to all walks of life. My suburban sits in the driveway now and we go everywhere in the xB.
