ok , today would mark the sixth week of scionboost. Has anyone got there password yet? I really can't imagine it taking 6 weeks to get a password.

It's kind of like a rebate for buying a scion between aug. 1st and oct. 31st. Check out scionboost.com .

Purchased mine 08/03 and still no mailer with an access code yet. I figure I'll give them another week before I call and start harassing somebody.

I don't know anybody that has received their code! Kinda "scammish" if you ask me (nobody did, just thought I'd chime in)...

I don't mind waiting for something that is free, but you think they could of handled this a little better. At least keep the owners updated.

My dealer (Community Scion/Toyota) didn't even know about the boost program when I ordered my box. Sales guy called 4 days after I'd taken it home to tell me the 'good news' they'd just found out about ScionBoost. I already knew about it from here before I even went to the dealer... oh well. As long as they don't run out of the good stuff, I'll be happy.

I was in my local dealership over the weekend and noticed a box that had the "ScionBoost" logo on it sitting on the floor. I guess it works, but i haven't received my code either, and it's coming up on a month since i got my box.

I picked my car up on 8/11 and still no info from Boost here yet

like I said I bought the xb for being an xb, not for what I get free with it. It's just icing on the cake. I guess I'll just hold onto my shorts.LOL

They are trying to clear out the 05's. It's kind of like a rebate.

I'm thinking it will take a while since it is some outside company http://octanner.com/ running the promo and fulfillment for Toyota. No biggie--free stuff is free stuff I can sell on ebay to make my insurance payments or buy better stuff for the box...

It is only for 05s as an incentive so people don't wait on 06s. But almost all the 05s were sold out when the program hit here.

The local Scion dealer said that it takes about 4-6weeks for Toyota to process the sales and follow up on the registrations. ( So dealers don't fake sell leftover cars- Toyota waits for the states to list registrations)

Then you should get the password.

You should receive a letter with a small gift fairly soon after delivery. This letter will tell you that you should be getting the letter with your code in another 4-6 weeks. If it's been several weeks, and you haven't received the first letter, you might want to follow up with your dealer, but I don't know exactly how long it takes.

Do you know if there was anything the dealer was supposed to do on their end as far as the Boost program goes? As I said at the time of purchase, the dealer I bought my car from didn't know anything about it, and when my sales guy called me days later, he said it should be 'automatic' and when I went to pick up my plates, I asked him again to verify, and he said the same thing--that there wasn't anything they needed to do and it was all on Toyota...

O.C. Tanner, eh? They are a, 'award' company that's been around a loooong time. They are slow but solid. I got my '25 year' company award from them in about three months back in '95...:)

It takes a while for all the validations and such on any special deal like this.

There's nothing special the dealer does. The process is started by the dealer doing their normal sales reporting to Toyota/Scion. Depending on the dealer, this may be done the same day as the sale, or sometimes it could be as long as a week or so after.

I find it rather funny that it is for '05's because as far as I can tell there aren't many out there. And me being from Seattle I can't seem to even find one, and the dealers are questioning me like " why would you want an '05?". I would like to know where I can find and '05...I wouldn't mind taking advantage of the boot incentive.

It is at the core level a way to mark the car down and get people to buy it, so no you don't get $500 off the price of the car but you get a free *item X* or whatever you pick.

I'm in agreement with House_Of_Steel on the camcorder, just hope they don't 'run out' or anything. Hate to get stuck with some crappy ipod... :gun:

Yeah, an actual rebate or whatever on an 05 would have been nice too--but Scion doesn't do that, so the Boost thing is good enough.

Another advantage of getting an 05 is you don't have to pay the $250? markup for the 'new' radio. Although it would have been nice to have a radio with a volume knob and aux inputs it's not worth near as much as they are charging for it.

And since the only diff. between the '05 and the '06 xB was the radio...free stuff and a lower price make it all the better.

got my boost # yesterday. car bought 8-11, code came 9-15. I didn't receive any other notification prior to this. It all came in a small box containing a little noisy keychain in a tin box. When you're done picking out your "boost" item, you get directed to a quick survey (check the box type) for a free t-shirt.

I just got off the phone with the Scion Boost help line. I never got a payment notice for my car which was purchased 8/4, so I called Toyota Finance. They had my address wrong and that was why I didn't receive my payment. So I figured that maybe the Scion Boost site didn't have my address either and I was right. The woman who helped me said that there was a problem with some of the files that they have received (incorrect addresses). She took all of my addess information and gave me a reference # and told me she would call me back to update me.

So anyone still waiting might want to call the number on the contact us web page

Well, I got my boost info pack today. It came with a card and inside it had the Boost Code. I called the number, told them I wanted the Canon Camcorder, and she said it would be here on 9-22. Not bad, the pack came exactly 1 day short of a month from date of purchase.

I still had not received mine in today's mail, so I got on the liveperson thing on the scion site. The girl I spoke with said that although my purchase was on 08/03, the warranty didn't start unil 08/15 and that is the date that they use for the "4-6 week" period it is supposed to take to get your Boost stuff.

That would make today the first day of my 6th week, so here's hoping...

Hey thanks svt_to_xb, that would be awesome. Yeah, i was kinda torn between the two, but i really like this camcorder now that i've played with it a bit. Heck, i even went out and bought a UV filter and telephoto lense for yesterday. Not bad, $48 invested in a video camera.

Well I got the Ique 3200 yesterday. Had to charge it for three hours per instructions. I still have to load the map software, but everything else seemed to work great. I'm waiting for the sd card I ordered before loading the map software. I also put the travel kit in my car. I'll take pics 0f it mounted.

I finally had to call the boost number since I hadn't seen anything from them yet (and it's been almost 7 weeks). I gave them my name and VIN and they gave me my access code over the phone.

The woman I spoke with said, as I believe was mentioned above, that they had issues with getting the buyer info initially and they were set back a few weeks on some of the stuff. Also said it might be another week before I get the package with the info and keychain, but that it was coming.

Now just to decide what to order...

If for nothing but some closure, I finally received my Scion gift card yesterday (10/3) and my keychain and boost access code today (10/4). That would be two months (or 8 weeks) from the day I made the purchase as of yesterday.

Free stuff is free stuff though--my home theater system should be here tomorrow according to FedEx. Now if only everything the $50 gift card was good for wasn't so outrageously overpriced to begin with...
