So, my day has totally gone to sh*t. Me and my girlfriend were driving down S. Cooper street going over a bridge. Suddenly, the blue F-150 started to slow down, then came to an abrumpt stop. I applied the brakes and moved off to the left into the median to try and avoid him. However, by then it was too late. I clipped the Ford's rear right bumper with the front right of the Scion. Simultaneously, a black Honda Accord hit us in the rear right as well, pushing us even harder into the Ford.
The rear bumper is fine apart from some of his paint that rubbed off on it, and a few minor gouges. My sister can have her techs buffer out the Accord's paint and fill in the gouges and repaint the rear bumper. But....
The front right fender panel was moderatley crushed in. It also ripped the front right headlight off of the left bracket mount and pulled it back under the hood slightly. The front top grill is also attached to the headlight, so it broke that bracket as well. That's about it. Contacted the insurace company, said they would look at the damage to see what they can do.
Now, I need to ask for some help from you fellow Scion and soon to be Scion owners. Can anyone help me get a hold of a front right fender panel for a XB, preferably in black cherry pearl, or primered. Everything else I can take care of. I'm just worried as to how much it might cost me to get one through the dealership. If anyone can help, please, let me know.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Just got off the phone with the Accord owner not too long ago. He agreed to pay me cash for repairs on the rear bumper. As far as the front bumper and front right fender panel goes, I'll have to wait and see what the claims adjuster says. Hopefully, I'll be able to take care of that sometime tommorrow. My girlfriend is on the phone with allstate right now. Anywho, thanks for all of the support. What would I do without you guys?

Friend of mine, here in San Diego, was in a similar situation. But the hit from behind was what drove him into the car in front. If he hadn't been hit from behind, he wouldn't have hit the car in front. However, the cops said he was at fault and liable for the damages to the car in front of him because he was "following too closely". In other words, if you are close enough to get pushed into the car in front of you, then you are at fault as well. I think that sux.

Well this is archeous's girlfriend - already took the xb to Allstate to get an estimate and check cut for the repairs. Have also turned in xb to Freeman Toyota's Body shop and should have the toaster back by the end of this week or middle of next week. Archeous or myself will post updates as to how the car looks after the repairs are done.
i guess this is God's way of telling us we need a body kit now and some new rims!

Hate to say it, but Freeman Toyota doesn"t have a body shop. They farm all their work to other shops. Just thought you should know.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~scott

I was in an accident a few years back, (not in my xB), and I was rear ended on the freeway by an SUV that pushed me into a civic in front of me. And Me and the civic got paid from the SUV's insurance...
Good luck on your box...

steph Maybe I should have explained better. Freeman Auto Group uses a body shop for all their dealerships (Mazda, Olds, Hyundai, Toyota, etc...) These guys are working on everything, sort of "jack of all trades", not really specializing in Toyotas. If you are in Irving, Toyota of Irving has a modern, state of the art Toyota Certified body shop that mostly specializes in Toyotas. This is tossed out there for info only. I have actually had experience with both and would slightly prefer Toyota of Irvings body shop. They have a few awesome painters that are great at color-match work. One guys opinion though..................scott

thanks for the compliment seadrive!
on another subject they have already ordered all the parts that needed to be replaced after the wreck we had. our box should be ready to go by the middle or end of next week. i'll keep yall posted on what's going on.
i'm just glad all of the parts were state side and didn't have to be shipped from over seas. that would have sucked.
