I bought the sport pedals and just put them on... but DAMN, it took me well over an hour.

The f'in brake and clutch just wouldn't cooperate.

Anyone else have similar problems or do I just suck??

It's a PITA, that's for sure. The brake and the clutch, remember to take the old cover off first. And the instructions recommend some soapy water as lube (hehe... lube). I would also recommend maybe a hair dryer or something to heat up the rubber - that way it would become more pliable and easier to stretch around the pedal.

 

I got the cluth on , and my arms were so tired that I didnt do the brake, it still isnt on =P

 

they sure are a tight fit. i let em sit in the sun 4 a while w/ the rubber facing up and then lubed it up.... seemed to wrk prty good

 

If it helps, when I did mine, it was easier to put the bottom on first and fight with the top... more room up there.

gas pedal was the easiest

 

extremely easy installl. you have to use your fingers to make sure its seated properly. i didnt even use soap or heated mine. try eitherthe bottom half first then the top or side to side to intstall. i used a flat head screw drive worked my way around the rubber and i finished it in less than 10 minutes

 

Uh, I don't think it was "extremely easy" by any stretch. Maybe the gas, but for my pedals, they were tighter than a two year old... Maybe yours were slightly bigger...

Obviously there are a few souls on here who agree with the pain I had to go through. The sensation is finally coming back in my finger tips!

 

I thought it was a super easy install also. Took old ones off, stretched out the rubber on the new ones and just slipped em on, took about 5 min. No tools needed.

 

does yalls gas pedal one just slide on the other one or what. I have more universal pedals and i have to drill through my gas pedal and the bar behind it, but i have not done that cause i really dont want to.

the pedals took me about 30 min, it does help if you lube them and stretch out the backside some. They are worth the time though..seems like they are a lot more sticker keeping your feet in better control.

you must dont do many installs of anything because it wasnt any were near the phrase hard to do. now my other pedals that i had are hard to install because it used a bar.

i have the dealer OBX silver pedals maybe yours is a different color or something

 

the obx pedals was one of the easier thing i changed on my car. i didnt' use any tools for the brake and clutch...it was slip off, slip on... i can't understand why its so difficult for people.
