So I think Ive decided on black...
When a black car is freshly washed and waxed, it looks awesome!! The problem is, it'll only stay that way for about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, black shows every speck of pollen and dust, and every water spot from rain. The other thing to consider is heat. You live in Texas..right? A black car in the texas sun is gonna be like 300 degrees inside. I'm not trying to talk you out of it, but you might want to think about that a little.
well, thanks for the concern. ive actually had a white car now for the past couple years mainly because of that reason. but it really hasnt been that bad. my windows are tinted really dark and i ALWAYS use the sun shade thingy for the windshield. and actually, the ooonnly time my car gets extremely hot is after i get out of class at school... and since the garage will be done next semester, i wont have to worry about that. i dunno, i think i can handle it... it only stays hot for what, like 2 minutes? but again, thanks for the concern as it will be something ill think about.
about keeping it clean, good thing i enjoy washing and detailing my car!

Black cars with black interior can get a bit toasty inside
I have two... and worse, they're black leather, which not only gets toasty, but feel like you've just sat on an oven.
a couple of solutions:
- get good quality infrared/UV blocking tint. This dramatically cuts down on interior temps, in my experience.
- park the car facing north. Because this way you minimise facing the windshield to the sun. it's the biggest window, and you can't tint it legally, so I park facing north to reduce the amount of unblocked sun that gets into the car. It also helps keep the leather seats out of direct sunlight, which is nice when I go sit on them.
- best solution: park in shade! preferrably inside somewhere, but don't park under a tree for shade. Trees drop sap and other crud all over the black paint, and it stands out horribly.
