Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share my near-purchase of an xB today. We are still needing to work on my trade-in value of my car before I pull the trigger. Anyways, i have a question though...

I test drove a xB with 6k miles on it... and it drove REALLY BAD!!! I don't know how to explain... maybe it was the 18" TRD wheels that have bad tires... maybe it was the weather... I don't know but I'm worried.

I guess how has your experience been with your xb's? Anyone with high miles? How's the engine running?

Thanks everyone...hopefully will join the family soon 8)

I've got 7400 now....everything is fine
I don't have aftermarket rims, and everything is stock, so that's possibly the reason why

TRD rims have low pro tires on them. There isn't as much of air cushion, so the ride is harder. but I think its well worth it cause Rims make the ride.

I don't know... I have another car with rims and I want something more comfortable but still looks good. Haha... I am just curious as how reliable was the Echo engine. But I guess we will wait and have to see... hope for the best.

sounds sketchy man id stay away from used since theres no real value in getting one used right now(unless its a steal like 11k). im on 17's (40 series)with a 2" drop and 13,000 miles and my car runs better now then new.

Mine is running great at 7000 miles since December. I had an Echo before that I leased and turned in with 50,000 miles on it and it was barely even broken in. :D Also had two Toy pickups, never had a problem.

I think he meant that like "The suit makes the man". He was talkin' about the look of his "ride" not how it rides. It is rather confusing...

rims take away from the ride. My first xB had the 19 inch TRD. They were a ruff ride, but they looked good.

Any way with my RS1 I decided to go with 18 inches on 215/35/18 and they ride well. Still deciding if I want to drop it. :?:

I am not sure why your Scion is doing that. Where did you test drive it? I sell them and work with them all day long. If there are any questions I could answer for you please e-mail me back. I could probably give you a good idea of what's going on with that, maybe I could answer some questions about your trade as well. Thanks!!!

Still deciding if I want to drop it. :?:

Do it. You will be amazed at how much better it handles and corners. I'm running the Goldlines for a 2"drop and it completely improved the car plus it looks tight, like it was made for it. 8)

I really don't know why it drove bad... I know that it was taken to Mardi gras in New Orleans. I guess the car was driven hard... and now it runs like this. I just wonder if mine will be the same... if I drive it "hard."

foxylady, thanks for the help. I think I'm getting a good deal on my trade...just trying to work out the final details. I will post pics if/when I get it! Thanks everyone!

Mine run just fine and I have over 19000 miles on with 17's w/40 series tires. I also drive it hard sometimes and I have yet to have anything go wrong Lnock on wood!
