HELP ME WITH THIS, SOMEONE!
ok, i want to make my Borla Cat-Back Exhaust sysem louder and i keep seeing and hearing people on here talk about, "remove the silencer" and stuff. my question is, how do i do that, where is the silencer located, and holw long will this process take me, and how much of a difference in sound are we talking.
Silencers are genrally located in the exhaust tip. Some have to be taken out by removeing a screw that is holding it in, however, it's much more common for them to be held in by friction. So basically all you need to do is just pull the silencer out and toss it aside.
Your set up, probably has a resenator. Just put a straight pipe in its place & that will make it loud & crappy sounding. It looks like a little round muffler under the car, a little after the cat & before the rear axel.
i dont believe the borla cat back has a silencer. if its a muffler, with a sort of down pipe to a borla stampted tip, then no, you dont have a silencer. you usually find silencers on exhaust cans.
