I am wondering if the K&N Cold Air Intake can also be easily reconfigured as a Short Ram Air?

I am scared of hydrolocking so I would like to be able to change my CAI setup to a SRA during rainy seasons and the winter months.

In doing a forum search on the K&N Cold Air Intake, I have viewed mixed answers on my question.
