Default Interior Problem

Ok. I have had my xB for 7 months today and I have started noticing that there is something happening to my steering wheel and shifter. It looks like it is being corroded and I dont know why. Someone said it is just dirt but it wont come of and its really starting to bother me. I was wondering i anyone has had this same thing happen to them and i there is anyway to get rid of it cause it is really starting to look bad. Ill post some pics when I get home later.

Its mainly just oils, sweat, and dirt from your hands...you need a good cleaner to get it off. Ive got a steering wheel cover and a new shift **** so I dont notice it anymore...

Also hand lotion does this. Eventually the petroleum eats the finish on whatever you're touching. That usually takes a couple of years though. Clean it all off every once in a while and you won't need to replace anything.

Good luck.

Its from grime on your hands!
