i have been looking to buy either the tc or a civic. i finally decided to get the tc.. planning on going down to the dealership later today to make my purchase.. BUT.. reading in this forum has some what stopped me from going today.. all these rattle problems.. i'm scared to buy a tc now.. are all those problems WORTH getting a tc? i already went to the dealership 2 days ago, saw one up close, got in it (although i didnt get a chance to test drive it because they only has a manual and i cant drive manuals) and i really liked it... but again... the damn rattle you guys keep on talking about.. i keep telling myself that it might be just a FEW cars that has that problem.. i'm only hearing from the people that went through that problem.. i bet there are more people out there that dont come on this forum that doesnt have the rattle problem...?? riight..??

i just got back from the dealer.. i bought it.. mine is in nautical blue.. i only got the pedestal spoiler and floor mats.. should be arriving within 3-6 weeks per dealer.. hmm... i can't wait!! hehe.. im very excited.. heopfully, i wont be having any problems with it..

 

i never herd a rattle in mine had mine since may although havent had it the whole month of septemerb(accident) but i can say never had any problems with mine!

 

i heard it makes those rattle sounds after a while..

 

mine has a little rattle but nothing alarming. for the price you can't beat the car hands down. any car is going to have a little rattle here or there. go for the tc

 

+600 miles on an 06 tC, no rattles yet.

 

well i had 5500 miles on mine and no rattle have friends with 12,000+ and they havent complained about any rattles

 

I have had mine since aug 3rd. no hint of any rattle or sunroof weirdness at all. the 06s streering wheel controls and HU are the greatness. not a doubt in my mind that I bought a great car.

I say go for it, I havent heard of any rattles noises in the 06 version of the tC.

Some 06's have reported the same rattles, and the 06 is the same car as the 05.

I have an 05. I went about 4 months with no rattles and then I started having the chirp near the radio, a rattle in the glove box area, rattle and pop in sunroof, and rattle in the hatch. Having said that, the only one that is annoying is the hatch rattle, and it doesn't do it all the time. The others are not consistant and only occur occasionally.

These occasional noises do not at all make me regret buying the car... I love it.

 

Mine was an "06 with the rattle. I'd take the TC with a rattle over the civic w/o one though. The TC has much better styling etc... My rattle is fixed. While my car was in the shop I talked to several other TC owners...none had the rattle. Both loaner cars I had (Tahoo, Focus) had rattles too. Remember people who complain on websites are usually just a fraction of a much bigger pond of owners. The others have no reason to complain.

 

I only had mine for a little while, and it only rattled a few times, and that only when going over really bumpy sufaces. It was nothing I worried about at all.

 

I had mines for about 2 months driven for about a month and a half and only one or two rattles just cruising but nothing seriously noticable.

 

look at it like this.......which car could you see your self in for the next 4-6 years?? which one do you like better? which one do you think feels better?? everthing/person are gonna have thier defects and minor annyonces i gurantee the new civic will have something wrong with it i personally like th new civic and congrtulate honda on the advancment they have made with it would i purchase it over the tC? dunno i would have to drive it and get a feel for it. but case point do what you think is the right feel for you.

 

Have had mine since Sept 04', and no rattle yet. Don't forget, the ones who voice their opinions tend to be the ones who unfortunately, have a rattle. There are many of us who don't experience this problem.

dont worry about the rattle prob...i some times here it but like some members on the forum have found out....the rattle is simply caused by some wireing in the hatch that bangs against it over bumps and stuff.....its just wires...nothing is lose or any major prob like that, so dont worry about it. besides a tC is way better then a civic....civics are way to overrated...the tC is hot and sexy...iam sure you know that....now that you have bought one.
