Is there a better way than a bucket of soapy water and a clearcoat safe scrubber to get bugs off my car?

I have about a 2 hour interstate drive from my parent's home to my place. When I get either place, my front bumper is plastered with bugs. Having a dirty car drives me nuts so I always have to clean it.

I am wondering if there is a quick way to remove the bugs when I reach my destination so that I can keep my car looking sharp.

turtle wax bug & tar remover. followed by a quick detailer spray.

MAN i tried everything but that one.....i tried all of them and none work well.... so is it really worth it?
Like does it work as effectively as the NO spit shine monky tire spray?

i seen a few other scions doin this and was like damn thats a great idea, blue painters tape contours to your car very nicely, and and doesnt leave any sticky residue. i drove a 3 hours drive that usualy gets my car plastared with bugs and it was awesome to get to a car show and have minimal clean up

pros:
less clean up, less bugs
for like 2 bucks its cheaper than clear bra or real bra
can be removed in less than 5-10 minutes

Cons:
took me about an hour the first time because i was trying to make it look clean
blue front end (i drive at 2am so its no biggie)

Peanut Butter removes bugs and doesn't harm the paint in some cases it won't even lift the wax. Also, one the prevention front you may want to wax the front of the car several times when you wax your car. A lot of wax on your car is a lot harder to see than painters tape.

oh yeah i heard about the peanut butter deal as well.

wax is what i used to do, but wax is expensive, and time consuming, a good wash and waxing for me would take a good 3-4 hours :P

the painter's tape sunds like a great idea and I think it will accent my thunder cloud box perfectly, but personally I use rubbing alcohol, and a cotton ball. You will rub away wax but it only take three minutes for me to rewax the spots. WARNING : IF YOU HAVE NOT WAX YOU WILL RUB AWAY PAINT.

Tony, you want Sea Foam Bug B Gone. Just don't get it on aluminum because it will stain. Also, I suggest a good power washer. That gets 'em good.

I'm bumping this because I have no driveway and minimal resources. Everytime I take the car to get washed now there are always dead bugs left behind. I have to try to scratch them off with my fingernails after the washing at the carwash. I don't let the guys around here was my car anymore because they don't use lint-free towels and they put fuzz all over everything.

At this point they are always dead, leftover bugs--- will general bug remover spray that y'all've been recommending work for this, or should I at this point pay someone to clay bar?

All I have to work with is a skeezy dirty poorly lit carport at a really crappy apartment complex and I'm driving a PGP.
I can't get a good wax on it anymore myself because of the bug residue on the front.

I just washed my xA this afternoon and after much struggle with the remains of suicidal bugs I am considering steel wool as an alternative to frustration.

That's awesome. And it makes sense if you're driving somewhere to show your car.

For Daily Driver use, though, what about the Clear Bra stickers? I wonder if those are easier to clean than paint.

The best thing to remove bugs I've found is Meguiar's Quik Detailer. I drive Laguna Canyon all the time, often at night, and bugs LOVE my car.

If you soak the bumper with it, the bugs come right off.

If it's that bad, use rubbing compound or a clay bar.

If that doesn't work, use rubbing alchohol. Just get it on and off your car as fast as possible.

Seriously, this stuff works well. If you have a bug or two that are still there after one application, do it again. Then wash. Bugs are the worst this time of year and washing them off early is the best way to go about it.

If this will be a continuous problem for you, get a full bra. Good ones are expensive, but well worth it.

This is all I use..the absolute best stuff period! I always have it in my car on trips

FastWax is awesome! It's waterless wash and wax. I use it on my entire car...paint, wheels, glass. It was good cause when I lived in an apartment I didn't have a water hose to wash my car with. Now I'm rockin' the Mr. Clean Auto Dry Pro Series, but I still use FastWax on bugs, bird crap, tar...it's really good.

I suppose that in theory if it were 100 degrees or something and the car sat in the sun (without being driven) then you could get some adhesive sticking to the car, but it would easily clean off with some quick detailer.
