View Full Version : Pics of my xB RS1
BigOrangeXb 03-29-2004, 04:18 AM I just picked up my RS1 last Tuesday night and by Wednesday afternoon with 35 miles on it I had installed a set of Tanabe DF210 springs and 18" bronze ADR Fuel rims. I also installed a set of factory foglights while I was at it. A few pics:
Here's stock:

The rims fit nicely in the back:

Amazingly the ride isn't as bad as I thought it would be with those tires. It handles great, now I need to get a set of the Hotchkis swaybars. :D
Blingin_Lava 03-29-2004, 04:22 AM Looks great! Great choice in rims!
BigOrangeXb 03-29-2004, 04:25 AM Thanks! :D
rolex87 03-29-2004, 04:25 AM Lookin good! Those rims are nice, and don't take too much attention away from the paint. Any other mods (sans swaybars) being planned? And, I have been to Manassas before! How ya like that!

kozmo 03-29-2004, 04:25 AM NNNIIICCCEEEE!!! i realy like your wheels how mutch were they
nice rims, i was contemplating them or teh visions. i got the visions in black. didnt like the big lip on the fuels. but they look nice on your car.
BigOrangeXb 03-29-2004, 04:33 AM Thanks! The next things on the list are: Lo-Jack, K&N Typhoon intake, MagnaFlow cat-back exhaust, and DC Sports header. I also want to get a set of billet grilles to go in the bumper openings. Those would be the bigger things I can think of right now, but I'm sure there'll be quite a few little things here and there.

They weren't that much, around $550 with shipping (that's just the rims, not with tires).
PandaIst 03-29-2004, 04:42 AM Damn....nice ride bro! :D
what's the drop on that that you got with those 18's?
House_Of_Steel 03-29-2004, 10:23 AM Very nice indeed ..... The rims do it justice !!
* How much drop are the springs ?
TheLeprechaun 03-29-2004, 01:55 PM This is probably a newbie question, but what does the "RS1" designate?
House_Of_Steel 03-29-2004, 03:11 PM Release Series 1

BigOrangeXb 03-30-2004, 03:03 PM Thanks!
The next thing is going to be Lo-jack, since I can get it for a lot less at my work than through the dealership where I bought the Box. After that, I'm thinking pretty hard about the carbon fiber dash kit after seeing Munch's.
JASciON 03-30-2004, 03:37 PM Those Pics look Hot!! I was just looking at those wheels online and was thinking of putting those on the RS1 that I have in stock. Good thing you live in VA. I don't think anyone will have those around here.
MicroMachine04 03-30-2004, 03:47 PM Very nice!
its_ikon 03-30-2004, 07:37 PM that is one nice set up. i really like how everything sits.
jenphoto 03-30-2004, 07:38 PM Ooooh...aaahhh...

SWEET! :D Glad my car is an inspiration to others out there :D .
xBSciontist 04-01-2004, 02:01 AM I like! :D And the wheel choice is awesome! Makes me want to get a RS 1 now. I'm thinking of getting Hotchkis sway bar set too. But, I want to know if the dealership will install it for me or do I need to take it to a custom shop?
sml27 04-01-2004, 02:09 AM best lookin rs1 ive seen yet very cool looking
scionxbny 04-01-2004, 07:47 PM Cool the way the LAVA paint reflects with a yellow hue ... looks like LAVA! I need to see one of these in person.
BigOrangeXb 04-01-2004, 10:42 PM Thanks!
The color is awesome in the sunlight. Makes me mad it's been raining all day and will continue til Saturday. :x LoL, oh well, what can ya do?
hotlava 04-01-2004, 10:45 PM That is SWEET! I'm so jealous, I'm still waiting on my RS1 from the Miller dealership in Manassas, should be here next week!!
Ourisman Scion in Fairfax suckS!
BigOrangeXb 04-01-2004, 10:58 PM Oh, so your the other one. :D They told me they were getting another one at Miller. I almost went to Ourisman for mine (I work down the street from them), but they didn't know anything about the RS1 when I went to them. And they were more interested in selling me something on the lot than what I wanted. Oh well, Miller is close to home anyway.
Let me know if you want to meet up when you get yours. I can do installs if you're not comfortable doing some things yourself or overpaying the dealership.
hotlava 04-02-2004, 03:22 PM Yeah, that would be awesome. So far all I've got the dealer installing is the AEM CAI. I'm planning on putting on 18" rims, the TYC tail lights, and the factory fog lights. But i'm concerned about the fog lights since I've read that it may rub against the CAI and that I may need to cut the panel off the fender? Any input on how hard it was installing them?
scionmilktruck 04-02-2004, 03:45 PM Nice wheels. :D I am thinking about the ADR Burnouts in bronze or the Davin Speed 1 if they have them for the box.
scionmilktruck 04-02-2004, 03:56 PM Never mind, the dealer quote for the Davins was 1500 per wheel  . Plus the smallest is 18 X 9. DAMN

That's cool. It was really easy installing the fogs. The hardest part was installing the switch (finding the connector and fishing it through the console). I think one guy on here said all he had to do was move the filter down a little bit with the AEM :?:
foxSCION 04-02-2004, 07:03 PM Nice wheels...
