Default Bad rasp w/ alpahawerks and stock exhaust

So I installed my header about 2 weeks ago and there was a little rasp but not bad. Now it has gotten much worse and is obnoxious over 3200 RPM. When Its cold its so bad the it sounds like I have a bad rattle in the exhaust. I thought there might be an issue of a loose heat shield, but there is nothing physically touching or rattling on the exhaust. Ive been under the car and moved things around to try to produce a rattle but havent been able to. Any ideas why it has goten so bad? Im not looking for "put on a resonator" answers because Ive heard other cars with stock exhaust with a header that dont sond like mine at all.

No leaks (i reused the stock gaskets, but checked for leaks)...its all coming out the tailpipe. Just an annoying rattly buzzing sound a civic owner would be proud of.

I'll go recheck everything, but ive retorqued the bolts already. Now I can see why axleback guys hate their cars with headers. (<--Proper grammer would have me use "headers" in this situation as opposed to "header" so shutup)

Did you try hitting the exhaust with a rubber mallet to see if the rattle is internal?

Havent done that, but Ive I got under the car and shook the pipe with but was unable to get any rattle at all.

I only have the sound when the exhaust is cold and between 3500 - 4500 when its warm

Only thing to do is get a resonator. I've heard around 30" is the best size

Magnaflow magnapak. I think it was 24 inches or so. about 3 inches longer then stock but it was way heaver due to the packing. Plus its a straight through perforated cone design so it doesnt hurt flow. I got it for 100 installed through the shop so-cal-tc club recommended to me. All other shops quoted 160.

How long have you had it on? The rasp subsides after about 1k, its still there, but not as bad as after the first installed. BTW I have the stock exhaust (for now)
