Default what should I choose.....

3 12" hx2's with 2 1100 Directed amps or 4 10'swith 2 1100 D's? I have been outta the system game for quite some time so what would be better. I would like to be able to still here the music pretty clear and i know i should get new speakers but ill just wait until the stockers blow, holla

Default System Ratings

If you want to hear the music, think about less subs. Even one sub with the right wattage will be real loud (w7 with a 1000/1). And those amp ratings, are they RMS or "max" power. If you're interested in samller subs, my stereo shop just finished an xB with an 8" sub under each seat and the owner says it's really clear and he saved all the space in the back, even more than in the spfr piece. I'm having two tens installed and they'll be fine for me. I will have some serious bump, but music clarity is key, as I'll be competing for SQ in my area. Hope this helps.

It's impossible to save more space than the SPFR piece unless you took out the cooler. It's exactly the same as the stock piece

The 3 hx2's would stomp. Your gunna get crazy bass but it's more for people outside the car and won't be as clear inside at low volume but you will STOMP

word, thanks y0, ill probably be going with the 4 10's in a custom ported box with 2 amps. I just want it to be crazy loud because this is gonna be my cruising ride. My other car is for racing and has "a little" more than 100hp

I'm looking at the SPFR piece and doesn't it take away the little storage compartment. I know, I know, that's not much room, but I'm saying by putting those 8's under the front seats, he now has that storage compartment back. But somehow I'm feeling you're not going to need that compartment anymore with a 4 sub box........and I'm thinking I was off the mark.
