i was just wondering how far long do you have to order your release series cars? if the rumor is true and the make the tC 2.0 the speedway blue color like on the tacoma truck i really want to get it but how do you order it? i just wannna be ready when the time comes around

 

you have to wait until they are on the lot. im pretty sure you cannot order a release series

 

i know you cant order it now i just want to know how people did when they order theres like how far in advance and stuff they had to do it so when next year comes around i'll know

 

I doubt you have to worry about the Release Series selling out that quick. I went to the dealership two days after they were released and asked them to order one for me . My dealership didn't know anything about them but they kept looking for them to arrive at port and hope they could claim one before someone else snagged it (I don't think I'll use that dealer anymore, lol). It took a month before I got it. I believe it took Scion a while to release all of them anyways...took more than 2 or 3 months before they were all sold.

If you do order one, make sure you get the VIN as soon as possible. It sucked not knowing when to expect the car, then getting a call saying you have to come pick it up NOW, that they don't normally do "special orders" and won't hold on to it because of that. And yes, I put down a deposit when I ordered it...
OK, enough of me venting...Auto-For-Life my butt!

 

WEll there was a rs1.0 on the lot of my dealership when I bought my car 3 weeks ago.
THe first dealership I went to they said they cant hold cars, poretty much call me and I have to rush there when they get it in, but the dealer I bought from saved it for me, and I knew my car was coming with everything I asked for from the port.

 

I drove by the dealership on a Tuesday and saw this awesome looking red tC. On Wednesday my GTI kicked my ___ for the last time. On Thursday I went car hunting—I was looking for a used 3 series BMW or Audi A4 (in the $15-18K area). I couldn't find one. at four different lots (including a CarSense). I drove past the RS1. My wife saw me looking at it and said, "Do you want to drive it?" I said, "No." We went to the Mazda/VW dealership. Nothing doin. I drove past the Scion again. The missus saw me look again and said, "Drive it." I turned around, stopped, drove it (at 8:30 pm) and enjoyed it. I told the dealer that I had to think about it. On Friday (at 9 am) I called the dealer and put a deposit down. I drove it home at 7 pm Friday.

 

the dealership that I went to had a lot of RS1 in the lot seems like no one was buying it too much. Maybe bc of the color and how it might attract some cops.

 

The dealer I bought mine from had 2 RS1's back in July when I bought my FM, but they had 20 inch rims, TYC taillights and leather/suede interior bumping the price up well into the 24-25K range. I love the RS1, but it wasn't worth spending another 7K.

 

well i live in maryland and boy let me tell you findng a rs 1.0 tC was out of the question you had to order it , no one was getting them in, you guys were lucky! its just if the do have one like the speedway blue colors i want it so bad i just want to make sure i get one. thanks for all your help!

 

st told my dealer to get me one, I have a RS1 and RS2 Xb, soon an RS3. Talk to your dealer, he can get some.. if you get to him early enough he will get you one... remember there are hundreds of dealers....

aren't the RS series Scions just different paint, rims, and a special X of X #?
