Default Why am I always getting flats?

So far I've gotten 3 flat tires in about as many months. Did we get stuck with some poopie tires or what? Anyone else getting flat tires a lot? I've never had this happen with any other car. Maybe its just bad luck...

thats nothing. Getting nails in my tire is like a weekly event. I live in a development area. THey are building houses and stuff around here. So when I go get my tire patched they give me discounts and they ask the usual. I say yeah.

Yeah. . . living near construction zones and housing developments can be bad. . .

Another common practice that leads to flats is driving on the shoulder, or excessively close to it. Road debris and nails tend to pile up on the shoulder (both left and right shoulders). Also, improper tire inflation can also make you more prone to tire punctures.

That sucks. I scratched my rim on a pothole. Road was flooded and I didnt see it. Its good to know our tax money is building nice roads down south where they last forever but they cant repave the ones in the midwest and northeast where the weather wrecks them.

Hey, they're just as bad here in the South. It depends on how much water flows over (and under) the road and how it was built. When it pours here in San Antonio, potholes form a lot.

I dunno, one time it was because I let my girlfriend borrow the car (never again). The other times i just see the tire light come on and sure enough I get a flat.
