XB rear spoiler keep the rear window clean?
We have 2 2005 xBs, one with the spoiler and one without. If you look at the side of the spoiler which faces the back hatch and roof, it is concave rounded. When the air hits the bottom of the spoiler, the air is directed downward thus pushing much of the rain and road dirt away. This of course, does not work well when driving at less than highway speeds. It does help keep the rear window somewhat more dry. The wiper, on the other hand, is virtually worthless. The spring tension is vey weak, probably due to a very small motor that can't push much more force than it does.
