why would my intake get quieter after headder install?
my weapon-r sri used to be really loud,,but after i installed the alphawerks headder it stoped making that mean growling sound..the intake only makes sound for the last 1000 rpm now, and it used to make enough sound to rattle my dash..now i got nothing.. any ideas?

 

Could be that the soundwaves from your header are cancelling out the intake waves.

Quite possible when you consider the "alternating" nature of the engine pulses, especially in a 4-cyl engine, where cylinders fire "farther apart" time-wise, than a v6 or v8.

 

Maybe cause things are smoother now? You have both good intake flow and good exhaust flow. I dont know? lol

 

your allowing the exhaust to flow out better, thats why. your not taking more air in because your TB isnt any bigger.
