Default Factory mid size custom info 2 resonators (updated pics)

Got the AW header and s-pipe on with my TRD exhaust and it is def. bumble bee. I heard people was doing resonators but I thought they said 2.5"..the shop said they thought the pipe was 2.25" (after car was off rack)...

So any help would be great and if some one with a sim. set up got great sound with certain res. pipes any links to buy would be great. Also kicking around 2 resonators for the deepest sound...so thoughts there would be cool.

Thankyou

Scott

P.S.

Took a custom donut at the s to mate to the AW header as stock was leaky FYI. Also as others mentioned the AW side brace brackets did not fit right either (there claim as the better choice is the brackets)

cool....i was going to re-do the whole mid but it looked mand/bent when I glanced at it today. So I will just cut in and replace the straight section removing the cat and pre-muffler (seems worthless).

Now the question.......1 resonator or will 2 make it sound even deeper??

not sure if that one is but make sure its not aluminized...

get a perferated core (straight through) that matches your diamater. a 14" resonator should be enough to kill the rasp. the longer the quieter is basically the rule of thumb.

i would advise against 2

Matty...

I put two stainless 14" Magnapack resonators on a custom stainless mid section today and it lowered the the tone but still raspy (fart) sounding. $175 installed....I am so bummed.
I don't even think another axel back vs. TRD will really be any quiter.

stainless TRD axel back. I am starting to think it needs a polished resonator on that long ___ tube after the muffler.

straight up TWO !!!! The longer ones are aluminized 14" is all magnaflow had in stainless to match the mid-pipe. I will have pics of it later. So this is some b.s. even my Civic back in the day sounded better than this. I know some people will chime in and knock the TRD exhaust but it at least has chambers to dull the sound down (one of the better sounding units IMO)and I have added most of the extra hp other systems have because of the straight mid-pipe which they come with I now have.

So kinda bummed out.
$300 for the header
$175 for the S-pipe
$120 for 2 14" resonators
$225 in labor thus far.
My God it is like $800 plus the TRD financed on the car.

I had no idea a TC would really sound more rice than honestly..some Hondas and Mits I have heard.

I'm not giving up on this...thank God its all stainless and should last. I will find a solution. I think this has somthing to do with the long pipe after the muffler and pretty much a 0 resonated TRD tip...adding to this effect.

the problem was...

you were suppose to get a HIGH FLOW CAT & resonator.

that would of make your car WAY quieter and sounding WAY better

The purpose of any catalytic converter is to reduce harmful emissions from the exhaust of a combustion engine. It accomplishes this through a combination of heat and a precious metal catalyst that causes the harmful emissions to either oxidize or reduce to safe elements in the exhaust flow.
