When you install this do you have to have some memory thing for your XB computer.Probably is a stupid question but some dude was telling me that at work and it kinda screwed me up.

disconnect (if not remove the battery) during CAI installation. the computer is suppose to calibrate automatically for optimal air/fuel ratio.

there is no need to disconnect the battery or reset the ECU.


this is VOODOO snake oil car science. the ecu adjusts the air fuel ratio to be stoich in closed loop CONSTANTLY. It will adjust to your CAI in a matter of seconds, reset or no.

Jackmott...that makes sense. In college, I made a flow control valve that continuously adjusted based on current flow readings.

But I still had to take out my batter to make the CAI fit. :?
