Anyone tried these yet? Seem like copies of the Injen short ram ala YDR, but I wonder if they work as well...
Opinions?

I also noticed your Autobot symbol. I'm close to owning 1,000 Transformers, just wondering if you are a fellow collector.
I've ordered several eBay or "generic" intakes from eBay. Do they work? Yes. However, sometimes the fit isn't as good as a name-brand intake. Also. as IS300turbo mentioned, they come with cheap filters. I'd guess they probably don't do a great job a actually filtering small particles, or they do a good job filtering, but are restrictive.
Solution?
Buy the cheap eBay intake, toss the filter (or keep it and set it aside), and buy a K&N cone filter.
The only problem, like I said, can be fit. Otherwise, at least on the Civic's I've had them on, they are simply a filter on a stick; hard to mess that up.

What was wrong with it?
-but yeah you all have a point that by the time you add a K&N to the above intakes you might as well have got the YDR. Thanks for the insight

Hmmm ... I wasn't familiar with the YDR.
BTW: Just something to point out -- the welds on that intake (in the 1st picture) look very poor. Then again, as long as they hold, the welds are pretty much a "for looks" thing.

The YDR does seem to be the better bet if you are going to go cheap. I don't really trust no-brand ebay items. You have to realize that at some point you would be getting exactly what you pay for, a part with no quality control or even any assurance of quality.
Not just that... that filter looks like crap.

If these intakes are only $30... you can go to most any auto parts store and buy a K&N cone for another $25, and still be $30 to the good.
Actually, I'll have to check out these intakes... cause I have an "extra" cone filter from a prototype intake for my Z24.
