I've been working in it this weekend - detailing while we have this beautiful weather.
I also added a CF engine cover and am looking at some springs and other engine bits.
Howe you liking your box?
Went to look at them yesterday at my dealer - they only had very basic, stripped units there.

Sounds like you really got to enjoy the weekend! We had decent weather here. Didn't get to do much with the car. Was busy looking at new houses and so on.
I love the box! Fun to drive, lots of room and decent gas mileage. Works great for my 2 dogs. I am starting school this week or I wold have some more $$$ to use towards mods. I guess it will have to stay stock for a while which still is not all bad. :)
The only options I have on mine is the rust prrofing and undercoating and the 3m hood protector.

Some new exhaust... debating on either the TRD or the Dual Borla
Rear Spoiler... Factory
Fog Lamps... Factory
Splash Guards... Ummm well when they make some that are not 200.00 like the Japan made ones
Sun/Moon Roof... Unsure yet.
A few of the interior accessories too.

BTW, for the guy that felt it neccessary to make it a point that some guy had psoriasis, please understand that psoriasis is a much more damaging skin condition than you probably realize. There is no cure, just treatment. It is unsightly and embarrassing and really does a number on your self esteem. It is not contageous so please, refrain from making us feel like we have coodies. Psoriasis is not something you catch, I did not ask for it, nor want it, but I have to live with it.

I guess you'd have to have seen the guy to understand what I was trying to illustrate for you. He was bisexual, had psoriasis that I'm not sure was treated all that well, was thin except for a huge belly, and he was a pervert that hit on anything above the age of 18. His belly tended to poke out from under his tshirt and his pants didn't seem to cover his buttcrack when he bent over. Basically this guy was disgusting. He was a coworker lol. I just think Mitsubishis are for women because that's what I see driving around - slutty looking girls driving their Mitsubishi's with SKIN GIRL stickers on the front.

Just curious why this thread EVER existed.
To preface my comment below here.... am I straight? yes. But I have friends of many different races, creeds, and sexual orientation. So I'm an accepting person of others regardless.. as long as they are good people in who they are.
But I have to ask... why does it have to be "segregated" here on SL into a thread by itself? Aren't we all just people that have loving our Scions in common?
I mean seriously people...you don't see someone like me starting a thread called "Straight guys and their Scions".
By all means I have NO intention here of starting friction or a heated debate. Just curious is all.
ack154
02-24-2010, 08:04 PM
Don't think of it as segregation... think of it as people with a common interest - in the same regard as the "flint mica cult" or the "high end / expensive wheels" people.

Well I see your point there ack.... but generally when you see topics in society regarding Race, Sex, Creed, Sexual orientation, etc.... that's generally viewed by most as something more personal than saying "oh these two people like the same rims or same color of car". I was just curious why it was felt that it had to go to that level here, that's all.

Mouse... I'm in NO way bashing you, so please don't take any of this in that way. I just want to explain a few things... from my point of view.
For me, its nice to be able to meet other g-a-y/lesbian car enthusiasts because it's rare to find that combo. (LoL)
In pretty much ALL car forums, you'll find posts like, "Where's all my Filipino peeps at?!" or Latino, African American, Asian, etc, etc. Are those wrong too? They're not hating on other races, just as we're not hating on other sexual preferences.... its just sometimes, you can find more things in common with people who, share the same "culture"..... you tend to feel more comfortable about someone who knows what its like to be like you and have been treated how you've been treated and gone through the things you have gone through.
It's funny though..... I've spent a LOT of time in different car clubs over the years and have gone to many, MANY meets & events, but have *always* been picked on, singled out & treated differently there because of my sexuality (and its not like I'm flaunting it in people's faces at those meets either). Being g-a-y/lesbian is still not really accepted in the "car culture" when it comes to meets, get togethers, racing events, etc. and it sucks.

One time they saw a TINY little equality sticker on my car ( http://www.bohnettfoundation.org/img/logos/hrc.png ) and that was all it took.
Another time it was because one guy knew me personally and told others at the event.
Another time they figured I was ___ because I wasn't joining in on the "bangin' chicks" conversations or going to strip clubs, so they asked and I was honest. It all went south from there.
It really sucked because I loved going to car meets and racing events.
Oh well.

and to answer your question.... other than the person themselves saying something about it or if like a post or two above me here stated with either an "equality" or "g-a-y/Lesbian" sticker in plain sight, IMHO I don't think anyone would know. Me personally, if I knew that someone at a meet/club get together, show, etc. was g-a-y/Lesbian... I really wouldn't care less. I'm a very open and accepting person. Only thing I care about with the people around me is that they are decent people and treat others the same way.
