Looking for some information on some rubber.
Going to be putting 15's on my box and I want to stretch rubber over 15x7 rims. What size of tire should I run? I don't want anything real beefy but I also worry about busting a sidewall stretching smaller tires on, but they look hot with those sidewalls stretched.
Opinion? Ideas?

Well, I can tell you that I am running 215/45/17 on 40mm offset 17x7.0" Motegis without any rubbing...so just stay within that envelope (it also makes my speedometer read about 4% low)

He's trying to find out what size tires he needs to stretch, not to prevent rubbing.

Stretching is putting a skinny tire of a wide rim.
7 inches is not a wide rim. This will be not only stupid looking on such a thin rim, but it will not really work well.
May I ask why you want stretched tires? Just for looks?
I have 195/50/16s on a 7.5 inch rim and it is not stretched at all.
If you want stretched tires, do 185 or 195 over a 8" or 9" rim. Thats stretched. You will never get the right look of a stretched tire over a 7 inch rim.
Just my .02 on the matter.

ok, I guess 7 inches may not be enough then. Just didn't want anything to beefy looking to make the 15's look silly. I have seen box's with works equip 03 and the likes with stretched rubber over them and it look shot.

agreed that does look hot. but anyone with those rims are doing 8 inches or wider i believe. which is essential for having a good stretch. it will not look funny, as thats what most people have if they have the 03s
