My Xb was delivered with the factory Security system. It DOES NOT chirp when armed or disarmed with the keyfob remote.
Is it possible to set this system to chirp?
Thanks, Mark

there should be some way to reprogram it. I believe the scion stock alarm system is a silencer rs3200, but don't quote me on that. take it to the dealership and tell them to reprogram it for you... and get them to give you a copy of the programming instructions in case you change your mind. then come back here and make a tech article. =D
edit: I have the rs3200 and was able to reprogram it. here's a link to the instruction manual... give it a shot =D http://rav4world.com/brochure/alarms/rs3200/rs3200.html

I have Scion Security installed...and it chirps. Keyless is standard in the xB...are you positive the securtiy is installed? Look to the left of your steering wheel. To the right of the mirror controls there should be a Scion Security thing installed w/ a red LED

On the XB keyless is standard but the sec. system is optional. I have the sec. system. on the XB the sec. panel/red LED is in the center IP.
So now we know chirping is possible. It simply has to be activated.
