Default Alternatives To Powdercoating?

I received my TRD springs last week and was wondering if there was a cheaper method to paint them some color other than white. Powdercoating would withstand just about anything but I figure there has to an alternative out there some where that won't wear off, etc.

A simple paint job will suffice if the springs are cleaned and prepped properly

Really? So if I just did the typical spray with adhesion promoter, spray paint, and clear coat I would be good? I'd think they'd get a beating from the weather and the paint would chip.

Buy cheap new rims maybe, that's just an alternative though ;)

Well I guess that would answer my question assuming I was inquiring about the color of my rims. Anyways, I figure caliper paint would work since it seems like it takes a beating, but if I don't need anything special my color options would certainly open up a bit. Ideas?

Duplicolor makes great products.

Wouldn't the constant flexing lead to paint cracking.

Don't the Tien springs come with a rubberised green coating?

Correct under hard compression/decompression I think regular paint will crack and chip... I was going to powder coat my teins black for a stealth look but you can barely see them in the first place.

Well, there is various types of paint that is more flex tolorant. Rust-Oleum makes a flexible paint to go on vinyl, check to see about steel.
