You're not going to turbo it for $2k. Tack on another $1k-$1500 and maybe.

I'd rather go fast than be loud any day.

This answer is easy: put the money towards a turbo. Or, if logic governs your life, put the money towards the car payment (if you financed the car).

I would get neither...
Both are a waste unless you want a wobbly sort of fast unstable tC or one that's a shade louder than stock.

But some suspension

Suspension is usually the best mod

With great power comes great responsibility... be responsible and get some suspension.

Ya, that $$ would go a long way to some coilovers, both sways and both strut bars. And then maybe have a couple bucks left for a sub/amp?

thanks for your oppinions. this car will be a daily driver, i dont plan on takin it to the track or anything, nor enter it in spl competitions. just want to mod to make the scion more enjoyable for myself

suspension is another topic.
from what i hear, sway bars makes a difference. but what about struts? dont worry, coilovers are on my list

Coilovers will include your struts.

So you would get Coilovers or Springs and Struts.

A rear strut bar would do more that the front strut bar on this car. The strut towers are attached directly to the firewall. A front sway bar is also kind of a waste and could actually kill your wet traction. Too stiff a suspension will make the car unstable in the rain.

Go with....
Rear sway bar
Rear strut bar (optional)
Coilovers
Stickier tires

Then when you get more money savd up, turbocharge!

Who needs a system when you could hear the sweet sound of the blow off valve or your tires roasting off!!!

Stay away from ScionSpeed! They are ripping people off! Other than ZPI, the next month brings us a Turbonetics kit and a Dezod kit. Check the Power Hungry(tC) forum for info on both.

I'd pick the S/C IMO

"With great power comes great responsibility... be responsible and get some suspension."

Don't get ScionSpeed.

I"m expecting a ZPI kit soon - or check into the Dezod kit. Either way I think you'll be doing very well.

i'll keep that in mind. keep me updated on the turbo kit.

right now i dont have enough experience in tryin to boost my daily driver. after research and time i shall boost (after i finish a few projects.)

or if anyone wants to sell their wrecked/ salvaged tC, that could be a project im willin to work on (with sponsors of course)

If it's your daily driver, as in it's your only way to get to work I would spend the money on suspension and paying it off early. With the turbo any number of things could go wrong and have you walking to work...

I would get the turbo over the system though.
