i m torn... the tyc are bad ___ and my first choice but the black pieces on the border of the assembly probably wont look that good on a thundercloud, too much clash... so my other option are the altezzas that would definately match better but are they ghetto? does anyone know of any other options besides paint or vinyl?

I like the stock ones, personal thing I guess...

im getting bats overlays: i think that looks the best :)

as far as tyc vs altezza... altezza's are played and tyc might clash,.. i guess you need to make a choice :shock:

I like the TYC lights.. but I don't like the dark housing... I would so get them if they were chrome looking (to better match my Lava) because I think the black looks like garbage against the orange....

yeah i feel the same way... i dont think the tyc match all that well with the thundercloud. thats the only reason why im considering the altezza... as far as the overlays go... i like them but i dont want to dim out my reverse lights

I like the ones on EBAY with the 3 circles. I think those look good on anything

TYC lights are awesome..not to mention it's the only one with DOT approved aftermarket tail light for the xB. The stock ones look abit too frosty for my taste...but Gary can paint them and that makes everything look better.

I vote for Blue Bat overlays too. It was the first thing I did. They were real easy, and way cheaper. But I have a Black XB sooo.

I like the TYC's but I have a Camo and I want the darker look. The stock lights are way to bright compared to all the other muted colors. Not bright light-wise, just light colored and everything else is dark...

I think your right about them not looking good on Thundercloud tho.

please dont do the overlay on the tyc :cry:

there are no yellow bulb

top red circle is your turn signal
the middle red is your parking and brake light
bottom is for the reverse

TYC's would be too Haloween-y IMO...
Bluebatmobile's stuff works and looks great...Martha would say: "It's a good thing."
Also, the TYC's look tailor made for the darker color rides and surprisingly awesome on Nilo's box!

I'd say go for blue batmobiles overlays, imo the altezzas are just wack and ugly, not to mention played out too.

Blue bat's overlays will make your tails alot nicer and a cheap mod to do without breaking your bank. :)

the overlays look cool but im not really into them because they make the reverse lights difficult to see when driving at nite... are the altezzas really that stupid... i just think theyll go better with my paint color

Yes...Nilo is running Red Genie Body Kit...and I believe it's available now.

As for his wheels... They are 19" Axis TC Evo rims . Not sure of the tire size..but i'm assuming they are 215/35/19. i took the pix on our way to the KIISFM scion promotional event to Longo Toyota.

The TYC lights come with its own light bulbs and wiring. U'll have to switch out ur stock light bulb connectors for the TYC ones. Believe me..TYC are high quality and really nice looking. The lights are not circle top to bottom...rather the top (turn signal) is a concave circle and shines red. The middle is the brake light and reflects really bright in full circle. The lower is obviously the reverse light. which is also concave..

These lights are amazingly bright...some people thought I was using LEDs.

For those of you that are concverned about the reverse light not being bright enough, those of you with my smoke Overlays will contest that the light shines through just fine. The smoke isn't all too dark either, you're looking at a 6 out of 10 as far as darkness goes. Look in my other galleries on my site, there are a few pics of the overlays with the reverse lamps on, hardly affect on brightness of the light itself :) .

As far as putting the overlay over TYC's, why not? Get a custome tailight, and customize it even more! Alot of people with Altezza lights on the Celica, have my smoke kit overr it, see my Celica Gallery. In fact, I urge all of you considering my Overlays, to look through all my Galleries, not just the Scion one. Alot of your questions can be anwered by just doing that :wink: I plan on concentrating more on the Scion in the next few weeks, now that it's making itis way across the states :) .

My bad for not making that clear. I wouldn't overlay the TYC, simply because they have the black backing.

From what I know, I could be wrong, the Altezza's have a silver/chromish backing. I would want the overlays if I got them, just not sure if they would be the right size.

It's all a matter of preference...

those interested in Nilo's bodykit...it's actually custom made. Original bodykit is by RedGenie...but Gary Nish took the honor of molding and cutting the vents into the front bumper and side skirts with mesh inserts. It is one of a kind~ It's a real nice kit especially with the vents...

I think some black housing altezzas or some carbon fiber housing tails with an altezza look. It also depends on the color of the vehicle.

Yea man, when are they gonna release the black housing altezzas. I think those will look good. I dont want to have to buy the altezzas and paint the insides black. Hopefully these will come out soon.

Dj, where'd you find these? the TYC site just says get them from dealers. How much did they run, if you don't mind me asking...

I think I like the black housing in particular, and will work nice with Blacksand. But hey, that's just me...:twisted:
