Default Info Session | "How Can I Put Angel Eyes on my tC?!&

I know many of you have asked yourselves this question before!
Well, I'm here to answer it for you!

To put Angel Eyes on your tC, you will need this kit:

some FAQ's:

COOL! Where can I find more info and eventually buy it?
Check it out here:

I heard you have to bake your headlights to put those in... WHY?
Your headlights are sealed with silicone to prevent condensation. In order to separate the front cover from the headlight, you need to heat that silicone either with an oven or a hairdryer to make it maleable.

Is it hard? Won't I melt my headlights?
Your headlights will NOT melt. You simply have to follow the directions and don't take a nap while you're baking. A customer recently put up a GREAT DIY of the install! HERE IS THE LINK!

SCION tC INSTALL GUIDE!

How do I close them?
To close them, simply rebake, and push the covers back together!

That's all well and good, but I'm not comfortable doing this myself. Do you have any installers?
Tons of them. All over the world. Or, you can call up some of your fellow Scionites, buy a case of beers, and make it a Saturday project. DIY car work is a great time to kick back and have some good, clean, fun!

I have a question, comment, etc etc

Those look very nice. Since there are ballasts in the install kit, is it safe to assume that these aren't the crappy "rings with a LED" install? I am definately interested in these rings, and a very good price for them. PM me if you have more information on these. Thanks

the gray stuff is just normal headlight glue, not silicone. silicone is heat resistant, no amount of baking will separate the front lens if it was silicone.

That is the point of a headlight core swap, you don't have to be without headlights. You order them for full price and they send the modded headlights to you. You do the swap, then send your old headlights in and get money back for them.

Even if you exchange them you would still have to switch out the lights yourself. What else is involved besides putting the lights in the oven, any difficult wiring? what tools are needed?

how long would it take for your installers to do this?
how long do you think an average no0b will take to do this?
where did you get those sexy fog lights and what are they?

We can't do the core exchange because of the "chipped and pitted" argument - Also, I did make a mistake about the sealant being silicone, I was thinking of what you need to use a couple dabs of to secure the rings. Silly me, Silicone IS heat resistant, which is why we use it for the rings ;) (your headlight bulbs are very toasty)... my mistake.

If you guys wanted to send in headlights there are places than can do them, but in all honest you are overestimating the difficulty. Our installers do these in an hour and a half, it would take you MAYBE 2-3 hours with some buddies.
This really is DIY-able, which is the purpose of my thread!

Also, we offer full email support about 12 hours a day, so if you need help... EMAIL US

Oh, and those are OEM Lexus fogs I believe, the customer already had them prior to getting demon eyes.

You can buy Yellow Ion bulbs from www.supremepowerparts.com though, they'll be cheaper but not as yellow.

Thanks all

it'll work along any bulb, any light. its just a ring that sits on the housing. totally separate from your headlight bulb.
