Default DYNO Video K&N/AW header/S-pipe/Cust. Mid/TRD exhaust

VIDEO LINKS:

3 VIDS IN A ROW JUST CLICK ARROW TO RIGHT OF VID TO GO THROUGH THEM

THEN A SMALL AUDIO CLIP JUST BURPING IT:

The details
2006 BSP 5-speed w/18" wheels and Tires on a Dynojet today. 87 Oct gas and the car was ran 20 minutes after a 45 minute drive to the shop. So no first morn start or closed loop crap.

I find the results interesting with when thinking about the MM header/S with their intake and CC full exhaust. I say that because K&N's get dogged alot as well as the TRD exhaust so I hope this opens some minds.

My mid pipe is factory 2.25 with 2 14" resonatos cut in as some of you know. So in my mind 2.25 is proving to be all you need NA.

155.95 HORSE & 160.07 TORQUE !!!!! TO THE GROUND !!!!

THE MMW DYNO:

I do not have a base line but anyone in Columbus Ohio with a stock TC I would go 50/50 $$ on a dyno run with your car. PM me.

I know that is not 100% apples to apples but, I am making approx 1.5 less horsepower & 10 more foot pounds of torque on a 4-sure HOT car than the MMW set-up. Now I am sure they have a great product but I think many of you who are on the fence about buying one product or another or who have a TRD exhaust that everyone says is junk now can smile. I have also achieved getting the car sounding pretty decent with the TRD exhaust. Also their run had a ignition equilizer and engine damper (took mine off a week ago).

Thanks for clicking in & check out my domain at the link below.

Not exactly apples-to-apples here. The base numbers for the MMW car are low unless it's an automatic. If it's a manual I'd expect at least +10HP/10TQ on the base.

Also what are the conditions? 400amonth, you're from Ohio. reagulator, you're from Cali. Not sure where MMW dyno'd their car or at what altitude and temp. These factors weigh heavy when determining comparable numbers.

Here is their thread. IT IS a 5spd...conditions is a freaking hot car run (temp wise) and not owning the dyno or selling product!

I want to be clear I am not trying to say MMW stuff is bad! What I am showing is a $475 header/S-combo with the not so popular K&N and TRD exhaust on 2.25" pipe. Just a "thinker" thread.

I know you're not bashing them. Great results BTW.

Doesn't look like they use DynoJet. Still unsure about the altitude and ambient temp. Different dynos, different conditions, different results.

Many people have done baselines on here with their 5spd's and avg between 139-143whp stock.

Actually I think the dynapack dyno they used hooks at the hub with NO wheels on it all. I would think that would have the highest base line dyno under that scenerio?? MMW Dyno pic:

Scott

P.S. IF ANYONE has a baseline before/afters on a dynojet on a base TC that would be cool.

it's actually my car the MMW Dyno was done on, and my car is a 5spd manual, the dyno actually reads lower numbers then your roll type dyno's so you really can't compare the numbers

I agree but your car did have a straight through muffler design & ignition pack and was not lugging 20.5 pound of 18" wheel per axel and a chambered TRD exhaust as mine. I think both numbers are respectable I was going more for showing all those K&N (often gets knocked vs. short ram like your running) and the just for sound TRD owners to feel a bit better. Bang for the buck.
