i'm contemplating on painting my steelies a bright red. i want to get them professionally done so that they look really nice. i then want to put the chrome trim ring around them. it has been done before on a two tone xb (black bottom, silver top). i'm just trying to figure out if it'll look good on my polar white. i've heard criticism already and i haven't even done it yet. let me know what you guys think.

your xb is where i got the idea from for the red steeelies. i love the way yours looks but i'm skeptical on how it will look on a pw xb though. i think i'm goin gto go ahead and just wing it and do it anyway.

Imma get some nice RED wheels too. Just make sure to carry the red the rest of the way throughout the car (with white) like a red pinstripe, or red interior...know what I mean?
heres the wheels Imma get:

^^ I was going to do red on my TCM but decided to go blue/purple...dang, if I'd seen those wheels 1st I'd be going red for sure.

It's your car, and paint is cheep. Why don't you hit the rims with some spray paint to see how it looks, if you like it then take them in for the pro sand blast and paint job. If you don't like it you can always paint them some other color untill you find the one you like.

This is just my opinion but it is okay to think of another color other than what you have already seen... red looks great... but at the same time, it seems that anyone that is painting their wheels is painting them red all because of that one shot up above... give that guy a break and go with a different color already ( although hot rodders have been doing the red wheel look before I was even born ) ...go with a yellow maybe? I don't know...
