Thanks guys! This is the 1st set of chrome wheels i've ever owned, and i think they go with the paint very nice! the paint is why i chose these wheels! I like the Dual Strups...they are a bit louder than the Strup made for the XB, but nothing too crazy!

I also want to note that all 4 seats have "Hot box" embroydered in the seat back in the same color as the insert. I have the door inserts to match the seats, but i was pressed for time to get my XB back together for TunerFest, that i didn't mess with them. They'll be installed shortly.

Also, the nitrious bottles are hovering over my sub box that is 'sank' down into the floor housing 2 JL Audio W7 8" subs. Plexy window, purple neon... gives a nice glow off the bottles at night. The bottles were blue, and were painted Scion;s own TCM, then air brushed like the reast of the car, and cleared! i left these unpainted to show what kind of detail went into the air brush work underneath the candy paint!

Love the box....the paint, the doors, the seats(like the color change that matches the paint change of the outside) Most of all, I like that unlike 99% of the boxes you see. You went with chrome over black, and gave the box that extra pop. Simple Killer all the way around.

You're welcome...I personally think the box is well thought out, and a style and look of it's own. I love the chrome wheel haters, all stuck in the black stage. No offense frankenscion...your color scheme is great with black.

Damn dude, you must be liek 800 lbs. to not be able to get into a scion easily. There is soo much room, which is one of the reasons its popular.

howd you guess? im suprised that you didnt see my pic in the mug shots thread

http://www.gimpcity.com/how/why-fat-guy.jpg

actually, im not 800 lbs, i googled that image and i know that the xb has tons of room, my mom has one and i drive it all the time. its just that im sayin, from what it looks like, the doors dont come up enough for someone to get in easily. it loks like you have to shimmy in sideways just to get in. ___.

If it makes any of you haters feel better... I HATE chrome too! Ask Jon (Frankenscion)... he'll tell you.

Squishy... I also have blue neons under the front dash, and purple under the seats(for the rear seating area).

I wanted to give my box a theme and go with it, but i think that idea backfired a long time ago. hell..... when i dropped it off at the paint shop, i said "NO SKULLS"!!!!!
pretty sure they didn't listen! So i don't like skulls, and i don't like chrome! I hate air ride, and I think lambos look ___ on XB's.

That's a great touch on the neon. I agree with the comment about not many boxes could sit next to yours and not look generic or average.

My guess is it looks even better in person. To me it's just plain stunning in so many ways.

Tonight was actually the 1st time I noticed the paint on the back was a shade of purple. Got any angled shots so we can see the slow fade of the color from blue. That's just a simply killer little detail. Just like the seats and neon. It's the small things that really make it complete.

Just like I love the flame colors..it's just so different and honestly unique and refreshing.

I give it nothing but

Um, my wheels haven't been black in a long time.

MY bad...so they are gunmetal?¿?

My point was darker wheels, and they look great on your box. They go with the darker paint you've just had done. My comment was 99% of the wheels on scions these days are of the darker nature, so people see chrome and just hate them.

I was getting GFO for my xA, then just decided recently to get chrome. I actually had those panthers as one of my picks

Preach that brother. I already have a paint scheme laid out for my xB and have talked to a painter than can lay it down like no other. Even being without my box for 4-6 weeks isn't an issue, as I have another car. It's the fact that to even put the box in his shop is at least $5k... with $8k to $10k not being out of the question when it's done.

krazylowgsx
10-11-2005, 03:24 AM
Same here Scott. I have another car to drive, and i car pool 99% of the time to work, so for the paint shop to have my XB for 1.5 months, didn't bother me at all. I VERY pleased with the outcome, but the shop really dissapointed me with Jon's (Frankenscion). Don't get me wrong..... i like Jon's XB, but he went through alot of s h i t that he shouldn't have had to deal with! People got lazy, and careless.....

So for now---- The Hot Box shale remain as you see it (with a few little additions...and i mean little), as my focus has shifted back on track of a house! Its that time in my life... play time is over for the time being!

I'm not really diggin the Lambos anymore and i've only had them one for about 3 weeks! Thier pimp as hell for show, and i can get in and out with no problems, but my g/f hasn't got the hang of them, and she hates them! I hate opening them "up" just to enter/exit the car. They swing open far enough so i usually don't open them "up". I mean hell...... I can't even pull into a gas station for a mt. dew with out 10 people coming up to me asking questions about the XB. :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: I don't mind answering questions, and opening it up for people, but dam...... when i'm in a rush, i gots to go!

The air ride is ____ing me off to no end........ i have a small leak behind the gauge for the pass. front. i've fixed it 3 times now. its such a slow leak, that it'll take MORE than overnight to empty that bag, but just knowing that it leaks ____es me off. other than that, its all good in the hood. I think I'm gonna just replace the fitting on the back side of the gauge and fix that leak once and for all.

When i started this project, i knew how far the doors would open, i knew air ride COULD be high maitnents, i new people would want to stop me driving down the highway just to ask me who painted my car, and i knew alot of people wouldn't like my style! So don't reply with.."thats why i would never do air ride", or "lambo doors are retarded", or "i don't like your paint"........ well guess what..... i didn't build my car so you would like it! This project has costed me lots of money, time, sweat, blood, headaches, and lots of lost sleep!
Alot more people like it than dislike it, and its always a stopper at car shows (& gas stations  ). when was the last time someone flagged you down at 70mph on the highway only to ask you who painted your car? WERD! :eyebrow:

Thanks for all the praise guys. I'll be at Scion Exposed on Nov. 13th, if any of you want to see what Oklahoma is bringing to the show!

Other than the leak you have, how are the bags working for you? Have you ever ran lowering springs? If so, are the bags more comfy? I hope to have the same setup. I'm only going to do a FB setup, you have FBSS right? thx

I think it would look sicker with an OD-type grill on it. But overall, WOW...pure eye candy.

Glad to see someone reprazent Oklahoma...I hope I will get mine to that level someday. I guess the main things are the bags and paint job...which I think is the best paintjob I have seen yet on an xB.

Can you post a picture sequence of how "easy" it is to get in and out with the lambos... I mean without hitting yourself 10 times in the head.

Why does everyone think that its so difficult to enter/exit the car w/ lambos? ok... so the door doesn;t swing up all the way....big deal! I've never hit my head on the door, and its not hard to get in and out! but like people said previously.... if your 800 lbs, you may have trouble.

And Rebel--- I had a set of lower springs on my car for about 8 months or so. The air ride is comparable to a set of lowering springs. it can be VERY bouncy if you have to little or to much pressure in the bags. I drive with 80-85psi in the front bags, and 30psi in the rear bags. this pits the fenders just above the wheel. People tell me they can't believe i drive with it that low, but i've never had any clearance issues. if someones drive way is all jacked up, i'll just air the car up, pull in and then dump it :P

the rear set up is freakin pimp. The FBI brackets need to be slimmer in my opinion. i lost 1.25" of drop swapping to the FBI bracket and SS bags from the ES set up. but i had problems with 2 diffrent sets of the ES crap and i never got to drive it. switch to slams, drove tho OKC the next day for the slamborie show and everything was perfect! I haven't had a single problem (knock on wood  )

Glad to hear it! What setting do you have your ES airstruts too? That dampening knob at the bottom. Thanks for the help.

i believe the dampining knob is set in the middle. i set t there when i installed the struts, and have never changed it.

lol thx. i guess everyone gets too excited over having the bags and they don't care about that knob lol. i'd do the same

bottom line - its total custom, and thats whats cool about it

i find it funny that people ALWAYS say ..oh ya got this thats old, ya got that..thats like this movie

WTF? everything every single one of you do is a copy of someone else somewhere, its a car..how much more can you do thats not already been done a million times?

whats OLD is people saying thats old!!!!

the one thing you can do that is so different from all the rest ..is custom paint. which you did and its amazing to look at (ok this could be copied to but hell its 5-10k hand done work)

krazylowgsx
11-11-2005, 03:28 AM
^^^^thanks man! I bet my paint can't be copied...LOL. the flames can be copied yes, but the airbrushing detail on the out side, in the jams, in the hatch, on the underside of my front doors so its visable when it UP, will be impossible! Soooooo much time, money, and artistic ability went into my XB. If you get a chance to ever see this in person, you'll be amazed at the paint!
