Default TRD SUPERCHARGER and CAI concerns

I have k&n cai and i was thinking about purchasing the TRD supercharger, from the pics that i have seen of the engine compartment, does the CAI have to be removed to make room for the supercharger.....or is it possible to have both.....

But you can replace the cold air box for a conical filter, right?

The stock airbox and umnitza have a location for the MAF to be mounted. If you just stuck on a cone filter, you would have to rig up some way to mount it yourself that might leak ands can cause problems like bad idle, CEL, etc.

Im looking at my s/c piping with the stock airbox and there is no way any existing cai/sri can fit not unless you modify the pipe of the sri/cai.

as far as plans i think il just swap out to k/n box filter and drill a 2" hole on the bumper vent then line up a flex hose going up to the airbox.

With my Injen CAI, I see no reason why I can't cut it after the maf and have that ugly flexible hose go from that cut point to the SC.... I see no reason why that wouldn't work...

Could it be as simple as a little hack saw?

I can still put this thing on with my SC, but I will keep the stock airbox and will just stick a K&N drop-in from the older 3.0L toyotas.

Doesn't the supercharger come with a TRD filter? No point in getting a K&N drop in, I doubt there would be much difference between the two.

SC kit comes with older 3.0L toyota paper filter, so K&N will be pretty helpful.
