Default My bi-xenon retrofit is done- pics!

First off, let me say a big thank you to HIDPlanet for sponsoring this project!

Sorry the photos aren't the best, but we've had only rain for a while here! I also forgot to snap shots of the hi beams.

Here are the changes I made to the stock headlights:
- e55 bi-xenon retrofit w/ e46 shrouds
- Hella G3 Ballasts
- Philips D2S 4100K bulbs
- painted side marker light & shroud to match housing
- Predator angel eyes
- converted hi-beam to running light
- PIAA mirror orange turn signals

All lights on:

Just the angel eyes on:

Added 10/19/05, here are the beam shots. They're not the best, as my camera takes awful night shots & my car wasn't on a level surface.
Low beam:

Hi beam:

And also, for those that were worried about the visibility of my car at night, here are a couple side shots:

I'm running the exact same setup. The e55s will serve you well!

very nicely done. Looks stock! What was the final price breakdown for everything? Have you done a retro before this one or is this your first?

Bravo and well done. I wonder, did you have to do the same ammount of tweaking as Maximus96 did in his retrofit project?

and not to hijack a thread, but has anyone figured a way to isolate the low-beams so when you flash someone, its not burning up your HIDs? (i.e., just flash the high beams and not the whole lamp)

Are those matt black housings.

Becuase if they are they look great.

I was just thinking the other day walking to the office that cars with projectors don't really need any refelective surfaces on the front (maybe you have to to keep legal, like teh back refelctives, but you could put some yellow refecltive down on teh bumper and they would look OK)...anyway,it got me thinking how cool it could look to have two projectors (hi/lo) both painted to match the car at the front.

Nice job. Very nice work.

Thanks so much everyone for the compliments! I feel like all my hard work really paid off!

I really needed this mod, as my front windshield is fully tinted, making it hard to see at night & almost impossible in the rain. No problems now!
