I did a Search but couldn't find it again it was a Brown xB that had a set of 60/40 bench seats up front.

no no no this isnt for me, its for a friend that wants to do it but he has a 5 speed and he absolutley needs the ebrake. . .duh, does anyone have any more pics and or additional info on installing the seats
for the most part - it's going to be a strictly one-off custom job. you'll either have to modify an xB rear bench or graft one from something like an S10, Ranger etc and modify that one. Far as mounting points, no doubt brackets will have to be made - no biggie - but it's more work.
moral of the story - gonna have to make it straight custom.

I would just like to see how the E-brake turned out. The seat looks fine me to me.
And in mounted far enough back wouldn't hinder shifting and I believe the Tjin xB's are auto like the first one?

Yeah the pic request was for me... ...thanks Hammer for makin the post and the interior pieces that I cant paint cause it will never stop raining here...
...I just was interested in a front seat conversion to bench cause Im a little old school and yes, I do take long road trips with the girlfriend. I saw a used bench at the scrap yard and it seemed like a cool idea.
Why does everybody have to fight all the time? Yeah youre rides are all really nice. My ride isnt half bad but Im not gonna say its the best. Thats an opinion. Somebody could drive a totally stock xB and think they have the best car in the world. And if thats what they think about their car then they are right. Why take the joy of car ownership away from the owner. I might say I dont like a car but I always compliment the owner and thell them as long as they like it thats all that matters.
Keep on moddin' guys and stop fightin in my posts...

3RD coast here
why can't we use the bB seat, it is a split bench...
might as well import the parts to change to column shift while you are at it (most bench seat vehicles have column shift autos)
i actually want the column shift, me likey automatic.....
just some suggestions

Yeah the bB import idea was tossed around but isnt it much more fun to drive yourself crazy trying to make something custom than just get the JDM parts? Who wants an easy mod... ...Im all about the blood sweat and tears mods.

ahhh ... yes.... everyone's favorite game, Attack Of The Hall Monitors. I always love it when one of my entirely pertinent
and on-topic posts gets deleted because it dared to question the unquestionable talents of a lesser God of Scion customizing.
Remind me why I pulled my paid membership again.....
edit/erase one of my posts again without a better reason and make sure you erase ALL of them.
I've had a lot more to give than I could ever take from this site. This is exactly why on occasion I go on one of my little tirades and tell everyone to ____off when they ask for help.
I came back into the thread to explain some measurements I'd made and explain the "easiest" way to do this RIGHT on a USDM- not like in the screwed up unsafe way shown in the pic.
Figure it out yourselves. Thank your local hall monitors.

I'm not hating on bench seat conversions up front. It could be cool if done right. I just think they take a lot more work than people on here are willing to put in. The bB front seat is probably quite nice, but that car has a column shifter and no center e-brake. You can't do this project in a weekend with your wal-mart tool set and an online DIY.
That seat has a few problems that should be evident to anyone who has actually taken the back seat out.
First, what's going on with the airbag sensors? The front seat has pressure sensors to gauge whether or not to deploy the airbags. They need to be fabbed into the new seats for safety.
Second, how does the seat back stay up without locking into the loop in the back?
Third, how is the front of the seat staying up? The back seat sits on the floor of the car above the fuel tank. Furthermore, it's all foam on the bottom. How is that staying up, and is it safe?
Fourth, what are the seatbelt anchors bolted to?
A chevy/ford/whatever front seat could be awesome if you did everything in matching leather. I just don't see the point of putting uncomfortable seats in place of comfortable ones.
I'm all about good custom work. This is not good custom work.
