Default horse power rating?

I know we can search but that does not always provide the most accurate up to date info. Plus we want to get to know some of you guys a little better.

what kinda power are the xB making? Who has them boosted and what times do they run? Who is the fastest?

We think we want to do a 2.4 tC converison?

thanks

-kenny

Any one who wants to shoot us over some info or just say hi through out the day my AIM is: kennystrickler

thanks

Put a 1.8L Celica GTS motor in one.

Right now the fastest, proven xB on SL is owned by Matchbox I believe. His is SC'ed among other things.

But I know there is at least one person who used to be on here that has an older Celice motor in his.

If I had a 5 speed and bumped my boost up to 10psi like him I woulda put down the same numbers if not more than him with my setup and thats without even touching the vvt-i settings on the camcon in which his was dialed in on the dyno
I put down 123whp with an auto at 6 psi

I had the TSI kit...talk to jesse@turbokits.com and he will help you out...he actually just joined Scionlife not too long ago...definitely a good guy to deal with, and has helped me out numerous times in the past.
Dave (DgHotlava) is running a S/C by Power Enterprise which is a very nice clean setup I must say

This is what I don't understand. You guys have like 6-7psi pulleys, 4-5 if its Blitz. At 4psi they make 122whp. Any turbo on the xB at around 7psi makes 145whp.

All this talk of 12 psi and you max out at 141whp is and the fact that they run that all the time and haven't blown is complete bull. I don't care what anyone says.

YOU'RE NOT GETTING 12PSI BOOST.

On a half a$$ tune I only was able to push out about 123 whp w/ an auto @ 6 psi. I agree w/ you on the 12 psi though Joe, I truely think that anything over 10 psi on stock internals is just taking a gamble.

Well you would be up at 145 if you had a manual and a bigger turbo which most kits have...ie-T25. I see you're rockin the TSI kit...that sh*t looks mean on your car...mad props. That's pretty much my only complaint about that kit, the turbo and a somewhat choking manifold for the 1.5 - it's much better on a 1.3

But what I said makes sense, if anyone can explain then i'm sorry but bottom line, people will look at my statement, think about it, and stop believing the hype.

Glad to have you back posting again Joe...

i am not gonna split hairs on this issue, as you already stated the answer.
i am running the PE300 supercharger. on a stock motor/exhaust setup it makes 6-7 psi (reading taken 7 inches before the throttle body)
put a header and exhaust on it and the boost guage reads 11-12 psi.
this is verified with three diff guages.

now...what the guages read and what the motor sees is two different things.

as any good motor + FI person will tell you.....
if you have a FI set up reading 10 psi, then take the head and port/polish it.
the increased flow will make more power, but because more air is getting into the motor your reading might be 8psi....

you lost psi but made more hp...this perplexes many people.

I know, I know...and I have seen the same thing...some kid in socal always ____es me off with that damn s/c claiming 12psi and low hp. All I say is how does my stock xA with a clutch rape his behind with an auto, 18s, and a s/c pushin 12psi.

Glad to see your setup is running awesome
