Hey all...
Being one of the newly dub'd chapter liasons for the PNW area of SE (not sure if official notice has been passed along by thefoth). I have a ? for fellow members/chapter heads.
How are you going about recruiting members in your areas? Dustin(Ohcanada_00) and myself are trying to figure out ways to entice new members to the club.. and we seem to be running against a new startup chapter of Scikotics... who quite frankely is headhunting IMO to get new members... PM'ing any new member that checks in as a new owner in the PNW, and just about any post asking for info about anything turns into some kind of promotional spot for Scikotics or if its a topic/event started by SE seems to need to get the last word in by pointing out how things should be done or whatnot...

Are other SE chapters doing a full out promo-blitz in your face type reach for members or you taking a sit back , drop the SE name and see who comes up and ask about it?

The HMIC of Scikotics up here seems to have either something against SE in gerneral... or maybe its some of our current local members.... but its kinda frustrating.. and we're pulling our hair out tryin to figure out what to do....

Anyways...just thought i'd see what other SE chapters are doing to recruit new blood.

Hi my name is Nilo Miranda. I'm on the SE boards and an original members of Scion Evolution based here at the home chapter in SoCal. As of yet, David has not notified me of any change in Chapter Liason, but Iwill try and give him a call later today. Thank you for the heads up.

As far as Scion Evolution and the chapters, we have always had a philosophy of an open door policy. All 39 chapters and 1000+ members have come into SE on their free will and not by recruiting via e-mail,PMs,letters,ect...
We basically do get togethers, meet and greets, bbqs and shows to generate interest from other scion enthusiast. With the warm welcome they recieve form the members, alot of peeps tend to sign up on the spot. I guess the close connection to Scion Corp., Commercials and Magazine publications featuring SE members and their cars don't hurt either.

I guess what i'm saying is just be cool and genuine and peeps will see what the group is all about. be open and invite others to your meets and let them see for themselves. Should you need any other help, pls do not hesitate on PM'n me for any help in organizing something for your chapter. Much luck to ya nd Peace. SE/PNW represent
