i feel bad for everyone who wanted to finance the SC with the car.

"The tC Spercharger System is to sold/purchased only as a dealer installed or over-the-counter option, after the initial retail sale of the vehicle. The supercharger may not be sold/purchased at the same time as the new vehicle and may not be financed together with the new vehicle."

that was listed under important info i think

That's another new thing:

APPLICATION AND PART NUMBER INFORMATION

The TRD tC Supercharger will fit all Scion tCs with Manual Transmission Only. The Supercharger Kit part number is PTR01-21050-90. The ECU adaptor tool required for installation is Toyota Service Tool part number 00602-17620.
Does not look like a kit for autos is coming out.

So now that the SC is really out, does anybody actually know what this thing is going to put out for horsepower and torque?

So let me get this straight. The SC is out and TRD or Scion hasn't come out with official numbers, just estimates?

It's everywhere. From what we understand someone forgot to put the "NEEDS FLASH UPGRADE" stickers on the box. I know what you're thinking "Everyone already knows it needs that." We're think the samething but we all have to play by the rules so it's on a quick hold.

Default TRD S/C - Why are we wasting time talking about 40hp?

I can't believe people will spend $3k plus labor on 40hp. Granted it is dealer certified, but i would rather wait until 36k miles and get something real. Maybe a ZPI Stage I with an extra 150hp. Two weeks ago I got an '06 tC and have made a few mods (axle back exhaust, blue LEDs, 8000k HID), and realized our cars are destined for greatness and not mediocrity. The TRD S/C barely competes with the new Si that arrives for Xmas. Get some ba!!s and show them how it's done, and remember the SR5 from the mid-80s with Weber or Mikuni carbs and HKS turbos that ran 12s. Scions are decendents of Legends and TRD should offer a real sic S/C with at least 100hp!

you can order the supercharger now, in fact i picked mine up today. THe stop sales means you cannot order the supercharger over the regular ordering system through the computer, the dealer has to call their regional parts distribution center and order it over the phone, otherwise 1 dealership could put in quantity 100 and order all units from that area so no other dealership could sell any.

hope that helps

That's true. I think it's a good thing for all the Cali people that just want their tC to be faster and not have any real legal hassles about mods. For all the hardcore people there exists other options. I think its good that they came out with it finally regardless of whether I'm going to purchase it or not. More parts for the tC is always a good thing.

No Cali for me although I have been there 4x and you have the best weather hands down - not hot and muggy like Miami.
ZPI is now working on differrent pulleys for the SC, so I think it will be an alternative to the Stage 0, but I doubt they can get it to compete with a Stage I.
