Default Just bought an 06 HU for my 05....

$76.00 off ebay, brand new. My questions, how can I mod my setup to accept the AUX input (if possible) and if I purchased an 06 sterring wheel, can I take advantage of that feature as well. BTW,I don't search but I'veI read pretty much every new post since mid 05 and have not gotten an answer yet.
Thanks.

I have an 05 with an 06 HU, and I looked into this, I found out that what you have to do is basicly build your own harness. I haven't gotten hold of an 06 wiring diagram to do this yet. I am thinking of just waiting a wile and then going to a bone yard and stripping this part of the harness out of a junker.

i'm pretty sure that the 06 (2nd gen) hu can use the toyota aux adapter as well. so instead of trying to build your own harness, just use this and add wires and run it to wherever you want it to go: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=67318

Come to the meet in columbus tomorrow and I'll find a way..

The XM shouldn't be any different.. The factory installed XM should be plug and play so nothing should change.. if you want an '06 then it shouldn't affect your XM..

Actualy I am one of those "luckey" few that bought an 05 late and got an 06 Head Unit but no AUX port. I even have the 06 center console so I have a place for the AUX port, but lack the wiring. I will give this a shot.

Yes, both the '05's and '06's have the same plugs in the back. I just put an '06 HU into my '05 and it works great, even my USA Spec Aux Adapter works great on the '06.

I wanted the rotary **** too
