I like Explorers too... totally different animals.

BUT, my good friend Chris, has a 01 Explorer Sport 4X4. It's the one with the 4.0 and the 5spd + overdrive auto tranny. He kept on messing with me about the power of the Scion's and said that its probably slower than death etc. So, the one day we're driving next to each other and he got the bright idea to race me. Needless to say, his torque meant nothing when I had a front fender ahead of him the whole way to 80 where we both let off. Fairly even, the Scion was pulling ahead in 3rd too.

He said "Damn, better than I thought!" and he also like my xB now too... no more shoe box comments. It grows on you!

I just got my Lava Box today #1337 of 2100 and it is more beautiful than I thought it would be. I have been reading for about a month in this forum gathering info on Xb's and then I came upon your write-up. WOW!!!!! I printed it out and let my wife read it because it is so articulate and well put together. Thanks for standing up not only for yourself but all us Xb owners. KICK ___.... 8) 8) 8)
