MikeC 10-21-2005, 03:23 AM You are taking this power to weight ratio thing pretty serious huh? 05-RS1 10-21-2005, 03:41 AM ^^ lol what he said.. mandos 10-21-2005, 02:47 PM Which TRD shift knob? I've used used mesh and leather. Mesh I think is a tad heavier. Leather is extremely light...feels good in the hand, but just feels too light. yamaha16bw 10-21-2005, 06:03 PM ok I want to know if the TRD knob is heavier then the stoch knob. I just bought a TWM SS and dont wanna pay 100.00 for a heavier knob. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v51/yamaha16bw/81860.jpg mandos 10-21-2005, 06:14 PM Bah...haven't seen that one...I was thinking OBX knobs SCI_TC_GUY 10-21-2005, 06:18 PM alot of people prefer a heavier knob to make the throws of a shifter feel better.....more assisted instead of trying to push a pencil around...... lootyman 12-20-2005, 07:15 PM I bought that knob before I had my tC! sat on my couch pretending to shift. the gf got a real kick out it :silly: Worked well with the stock setup, just hated the sloppy gearbox. it is heavier than the stock knob, but not as much as you'll get with a mesh knob. but who wants a scalded or frozen palm? bought the trd quick shift kit when it was first available. scoff if you will, but I like the stock knob height and didn't want a chopped stick. tightened up the shifts nicely. nothin like a tight box. . . . . zer0 12-20-2005, 08:47 PM Im a fan of the TRD quickshifter, stock height rocks, I can sit comfortably and still reach the knob. mandos 12-20-2005, 09:30 PM Worked well with the stock setup, just hated the sloppy gearbox. it is heavier than the stock knob, but not as much as you'll get with a mesh knob. but who wants a scalded or frozen palm? When I had the speedstar mesh...I used to play a game with myself on hot days...how long can I hold my hand on the center....can I burn the OBX logo into my hand... PrivateTucker 12-20-2005, 10:31 PM ^^ hahahahahahahahahahaha I froze the obx logo to my hand already. sensay 12-21-2005, 03:28 AM nothin like a tight box. . . . . im deffinately the only one that got that good one :) bassist1217 12-24-2005, 03:37 AM Worked well with the stock setup, just hated the sloppy gearbox. it is heavier than the stock knob, but not as much as you'll get with a mesh knob. but who wants a scalded or frozen palm? I'm not original anymore.... got that when I got my car... The GReddy knob is great. dmikon 01-08-2006, 11:54 PM I have the TRD knob and it's slightly lighter than the stock one, not to mention slimmer in volume. I like how it feels, but it's not a good choice if you're looking for a weighted knob. It makes you "feel" the shifts more though. |
