Does anyone know if the TRD shift knob weighs more then the stock knob?

Which TRD shift knob?

I've used used mesh and leather. Mesh I think is a tad heavier. Leather is extremely light...feels good in the hand, but just feels too light.

ok I want to know if the TRD knob is heavier then the stoch knob. I just bought a TWM SS and dont wanna pay 100.00 for a heavier knob.

alot of people prefer a heavier knob to make the throws of a shifter feel better.....more assisted instead of trying to push a pencil around......

I bought that knob before I had my tC! sat on my couch pretending to shift. the gf got a real kick out it :silly:

Worked well with the stock setup, just hated the sloppy gearbox. it is heavier than the stock knob, but not as much as you'll get with a mesh knob. but who wants a scalded or frozen palm?

bought the trd quick shift kit when it was first available. scoff if you will, but I like the stock knob height and didn't want a chopped stick. tightened up the shifts nicely.

nothin like a tight box. . . . .

Im a fan of the TRD quickshifter, stock height rocks, I can sit comfortably and still reach the knob.

When I had the speedstar mesh...I used to play a game with myself on hot days...how long can I hold my hand on the center....can I burn the OBX logo into my hand...

can't you just carry a rag to throw over the knob when you park or something?

here's a weighted greddy knob i bought. it definately heavier than the stock knob and feels pretty good for ~$30.

I have the TRD knob and it's slightly lighter than the stock one, not to mention slimmer in volume. I like how it feels, but it's not a good choice if you're looking for a weighted knob. It makes you "feel" the shifts more though.
