Why would anyone go that big? That's too big, even for a turbo setup.

I wouldn't go that big even w/ FI. 2.25 inch works fine for me, and I drive 95% on the freeway. I have an intake(soon to be replaced), header and custom catback exhaust.

Yea, anything more than 2.5" is overkill with these cars even if you are running a turbo...take it from me, I think I lost power running a 2.5" compared to my 2.25% catback.

3.5 normally works better on twin turbo 2jz's 4 inch is for huge power.

too little back pressure can lose horsepower ..I ran open headers on one of my cars and it rans slower.....same goes for a turbo..you need to be able to spool it up fast..... in these cars much beyond a 2" and your gonna run slow.......
