Any tips on how to install a LOC and amp into a xB?
Tried searching but got too many hits and most don't seem helpful. Any pics or a FAQ on how to wire the LOC into a xB wouldbe great.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I'm not sure how much info you needs so I will be vague for starters:
1. Take the radio out and install the line converter to the positive and negative, left and right rear speakers. (Here is a wiring chart: http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Toyota-Wiring.pdf)
2. The RCA cables attach to the LOC red/black
3. Connect the "remote on" wire to the gray 12v igintion wire on the blue radio connection (See the chart)
4. Install your amp positive wire in the engine compartment, but don't connect to battery until the very end. You want the fuse under the hood for safety and no more then 12" away from the battery.
5. Run the wire into the cabin. There is a rubber boot in the firewall.
6. Run all wires to the amp.
the rest is self explanatory...
These are some basic instructions, if you need more help, you might want to find someone in your area to help you.
