GOT MY NEW xB!! Pics w/ TT
Hello Everyone,
FINALLY!...I purchased a Scion xB last night!
This little gem came from Elmhurst Scion in IL. Great service!
I got it bone stock, with a 5 speed. I'm thinking of putting a CAI first, and probably upgrade the rims.
Check out the pics with my TT. The TT is a fun car, but limited with space. The xB was the perfect solution.
In the past I posted many questions, regarding the xB. A "Thank You" to all who answered my questions. Going forward, I hope to be helpful to other potential buyers...

You know about the Cabin Air Filter tray that is behind your glovebox, right?
You need to buy or make a filter to fit into your empty Cabin Air Filter Tray.
Yes, Scion does not supply Cabin Air Filters in the Cabin Air Filter tray. They will charge you about $22 for one. Go to autozone or advanced and buy one for $12, or make on yourself after reading the thread in the TECH section called Fabricate your own Cabin Air Filter.
One other suggestion.... Your car is black, interior is dark but those yellow warning labels stand out. Go to randode.com and buy the back seat warning label covers. Only $5 for 2. Also check out the sun visor warning label covers. NO ONE will ever read what is written there. And if they did read the warnings, NO ONE would obey anyway.
That is RANDODE.com

Those are 2006 hubcaps. A new design to replace the phone-dial 2005 hubcaps that were so un-popular. That is one of the 3 new designs for 2006.
I would like for you to see my 2005 with the racing disk hubcaps, the only way to age my car is to look at the radio.
But, I swapped out my 2005 radio head unit and installed the stock 2006 radio head unit. So you might say that it's a 2006, and I might not correct you. (I got a 2006 radio from E-BAY.)
The 2006 radio head unit is better in the following ways:
1. A Volume **** with ringed lumination, instead of up and down buttons.
2. Great illumination at night. Us 2004 and 2005 owners may have never seen it lit.
3. Longer welcome greeting, 16 chars. instead of 12.
I will post a thread about this soon, and with pictures.

I went to the web.site also and I couldn't find a view of the three assorted hubcaps for the 2006 XB. Yeah, I could be wrong, 2005 or 2006 BOX?
Where in that scion.com web.site did you see them Jethro?
Say Where?

Thanks everyone, so far the first weekend has been great!
I will definitely purchase a cabin air filter in the next week...thanks for the "heads-up."
The registration states it's a 2006, so I'm confident it's not a 2005.
I already have 75 miles on the odometer!

got to build your scion and then clik on your wheel options and you clik on each hubcaps individually and the pic of each hubcap will appear in the lower right of the page and it will change as you clik on the different hubcaps in the options.

, it works magic.
