Default tC is in the shop... driving Honda Civic

So my tC is in the shop getting the front and rear bumpers replaced... long story...
anyways, my insurance set me up with a '05 Civic... I'm kinda bored today, so I'm posting my thoughts on the Civic.

It's not a bad-looking car, especially in black:

But from the moment I pressed the throttle.. felt like the good old days of my 1996 Corolla. Man, I miss my tC. :-)

It's clean inside (but plain compared to the tC), but the road noise is noticeably more quiet than the tC -- probably because of the tires, suspension etc... However, the Civic did have some unusual noises coming from the dash, but not nearly as bad as my tC's rattles and creaks.

This pic below kinda made me laugh... the car's speedometer goes to 150!!! I don't know what that's all about... good luck getting it to 100 ;-) Of course, it's not like the tC is fast or anything, but it's a lot more fun to drive.

All in all, the Civic is a nice, quiet car, but dang I miss my tC! If only we could track down the source of all the rattles, the tC would be a perfect car. :-)

Hondas are always so plain. The dash looks very much like my moms 97. I bet there is some 16 yr old who actually thinks that car will do 150 cause the speedo says so lol.

Might want to try them. I bought one but havent installed it yet. Its $20, but you could probably make one for about $3 at your local hardware store. They sponsor ScionLife and it includes shipping form Hawaii so I said OK.

Meh. I feel your pain. I was stuck in a Corolla for a week while my tC was having some interior work done.

Didn't feel safe in that car. Drives like a skateboard.

Car show? I haven't heard about it. You have a link? I might go, but unless you count my s2000 antenna, my car is completely stock, so I won't be competing lol. :-)

i didn't say you had to compete, just wondering if you were going.
my car will be shown at one of the tents/booth's, and i can get ahold of the 808customs license plate bracket, so if you were at the show..you could get it from me

When I was 16 didnt think it would do it but I had to try just to make sure anyways. So like 20 minutes later I was trying to find out. Sure enough it didnt make it. Not even close. When you are 16 you have an excuse I guess.

You have it a little better than I do... I just got into an accident with my NBM tC and it was a few days old. Now I'm driving a Corolla LE 2005 as a rental for the time being.
