Someone in another post mentioned complaining to Scion Corporate about something. What i am wondering, is does anything actually get done? I have complained to Toyota before and nothing happened, in fact one dealer charged me to fix a windsheild wiper part, then a few months later when i bring in the recall bulliten for the part they just tell me they dont have it in their computer, and always treat me like i am an idiot.

Yes it does. Scion even though its Toyota is a brand new company and have set out to excel in customer satisfaction. As any new company would they need to make a name for themselves in the market.
I know one guy on these boards was really having a hard time with a particular dealership and getting his deposit back. The dealer just flat out refused to return the deposit etc etc. He finally contacted Scion directly explained the situation and I believe it was even the NEXT day... he had his deposit back from that dealer 8)

Actually yes, something does happen. I've never had anyone complain about me or my dealership, but I have heard of a few instances at others. Believe me something does get done.

Amazingly enough, Scion takes customer satisfaction seriously. Scion called me and my dealership without my prompting when I casually mentioned a service issue I was having in my response to their customer survey. I then proceeded to get a call from the manager of my dealership saying if I ever have any problems to call him directly and he'll make it right. I actually felt a little bad that corporate came down on him because my issue was relatively minor.
actually they do take care of us, every time I take my car in even just for an oil change, I get a letter in the mail asking if the dealer did ok. I always get taken car of though, so I never need to complain. :D

Those 800 contacts are taken very seriously. When a customer calls that number, the dealership is sent a contact sheet with a description of the problem. We have 48 hours to get back to Toyota/Scion with a description of what happened and how we resolved it. Ignoring it is not an option.
By the way... the description of what happened with the guy and his deposit did have more to the story. It actually wasn't the 800 contact that got the results. It was when the GSM found out what was happening. Apologies were made both to the customer and to the community here. It may even make you happy to know that the Scion manager who's watch this happened under is no longer doing the Scion sales. I have taken over effective 4/7/04 and it will not happen again.
