Default Cats on my hood!

I went outside to take out the trash out a few minutes ago (and to take a peak at my 1 week old 06 TCM xB) and I saw a M.....F...ing cat on my hood! I ran over with the worst intentions but it ran away. Im super ____ed. Its pretty dark outside and havent had a chance to see if there are any scratches on my hood.

So now im in the market for a car cover but I have two quick questions:

How difficult is it to put on a car cover on the xB? And would you guys recommend a good one to me?

Many thanks!

Ps. Is there a way I can deter the cat until I get a car cover?

i had the same problem with some wild cats i solved it with an airsoft gun ( no i did not hit the cat though that crossed my mind several times). the noise of the gun and sight of pellets coming close to the cat drove it away. problem solved

last thing i'd do to a cat sleeping on my car is scare it. you're just asking for claw marks in your paint if you do that.

I had the same problem years ago because my neighbor decided to feed her cats and every other cat int he surrounding area on her front porch. I had claw marks on my cars, noise fromt hem chasing each other across my roof, and cat crap all over the yeard.

The local animal control told me that cats are considered wild animals and are legal to trap. I rented a Have a Heart trap from a local feed store and caught 6 cats in 5 nights. I would called animal control the next morning and they came out to make the pick up each day. I released one because it had a collar on.

No more cat problems in my neighboryhood and the guilt can lay ont he people that let them roam free or the people at the pound that have to euthanize them.

Check with your own county's animal control to see what your options are for ridding your neighborhood of annoying pests.

Default Freakin cats

I have the same problem. only with my kids cats. So no The bright side is no rats will make a condo in my boxes.
The car cover thing was my thinking. The freaking cats love it Nice and cozy, great view. and worse, the car cover isn't talon proof. A stretch from a long nap could be fatal to the paint.
Plus the one man on/off car cover thing sucks. not to mention the clean car dirty car dilemma I only use mine when its spotless and going to sit longer than one day.

Tried the moth *****. Didn't work for me. Red pepper worked for awhile. Forget the stuff at pet stores. I tried it also. I gave up and built them a better place to hang out from some old carpet and plywood.

Had a friend who taught his dog to stay off his bed while he was at work. It involved several set mouse traps.

Best thing to do is get a trap cage and start hauling them off to the animal shelter till there are no more. It takes awhile but when people can't find their cats they get the hint to keep them in the house where they belong or use a leash. End of problem.

oh thats so bad....but I'd so do it.

You could also lay a few peices of fly paper upside down on your hood, and lace it with catnip. Now that would be funny to watch.

if you keep 'attacking' the cat when it goes on you car, it will learn not to go there.
