Default Two-tone hatch and hood combo! Find a friend and do it....

This past weekend at the Scion East show I managed to do an awesome trade with Aera. We swapped hoods and hatches to get that two-tone look without ever having to spray. I think it looks great and couldnt be happier with the outcome.

I dont know how many of you have tried to remove the rear hatch on the xB but it was way easier than I ever imagined. Comes right off and goes back on almost as easy. If anybody has any questions ask away.

Here are the results...

Looks good.... Whats the reverse oe look like? I can't imagine a black with silver hood would look particularly great. Maybe so... got a pic of the other for comparison?

Aera, no pics yet? I stole mine from the yahoo album from saturday. I didnt see any of yours when I was looking cause I wanted to post those too. But yeah I agree that the silver on black looks great too. I didnt know what either was going to look like going into it but they both came out super hot. Thanks again for a sweet trade Aera

but props to you for being able to drive around like that :D

I think it looks great, kind the look of carbon without the uneveness etc. You guys should swap grilles too

A friend of mine just got a BSP, was thinking about doing the same thing...

Also it would look cool if you switched out the license plate light thingie so it contrasted the hatch... I saw a carbon hatch that had the piece TCM that looked nice

Aera's box looks way better in person and when its clean instead of all wet. To be honest I didnt like it at first but after some staring it really grows on you. Now I love his xB. I cant wait to see his graphics. I too have some graphics on the way to accent the new colors.

And yes my hood does have the carbon look but its way cleaner. Who needs to spend $1000 on a carbon hatch and hood anyway...
