NOTE: So as to avoid the confusion that was caused with the Halloween party idea that was floated out there, this is an event OPEN TO EVERYONE, Scikotics Member, potential member or not. As this is open to everyone and not just members of Scikotics, I feel the appropriate place for this post is in Pacific Northwest. Mods- If you feel this is not the case, PLEASE CONTACT ME!! - Thanks
It's almost that time of year, and we all know there's lots going on. Scikotics/Seattle will be throwing either a New Years or Xmas Party depending on which one wins in the poll. This party, similar to the Halloween party will be held at my place here in NE Everett (Lake Stevens border).
Jessi (Scikottie_Hottie) and myself decided it would be better to hold a holiday party that's a little further down the road and could be planned better, rather than try to rush and slap together a Halloween party last minute that would likely be held on a monday.
Unlike Halloween, both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve are on Saturdays so there's a chance for a much better turnout. Time for this event would probably be from approximately 7pm - whenever.
I am aware many of you would have plans for xmas eve, but at the same time, just about everyone is going to have Christmas day off, so I feel this would work the best, although the date could be subject to change.
Here's how it stands now... PLEASE FILL OUT THE POLL FOR YOUR PREFERRED DATE.
I'm thinking this would be SEMI-formal in the sense of:
Guys-Collared shirt and nicer jeans or khakis/slacks.
Girls- Something nicer than just a tshirt and jeans...
It's not gonna be super picky and you obviously aren't gonna be barred from the party, but it would be nice to have an event that's got a little classier atmosphere than a"BBQ and beer" type of get together.
Poll will last until Nov. 7th, and please only vote if you're even entertaining the idea of coming.
No interest? Then please don't vote.
