Clutch Pedal Squeak
Has anyone noticed their Clutch squeaking when you depress it. My car only has 6,500 miles on it and it gets about as annoying as the hatch rattle. Luckily I have subs so I just turn my radio up so I dont hear them both.

I have noticed the same thing - however like you i also ignore it. Usually the radio covers it up. the only time i really notice it is when i have a passenger and we are talking, then i don't have the radio up quite as loud.
Mine has that squeak also. I had it a while back, but it went away and then came back again. It does that a lot.My car only has about 3000 miles on it. It first started at probably between 500-1000 miles.
If you look at the clutch from underneath, there is something that looks like a gold colored cylinder. On the back of it there is a rod the gets pushed into the cylinder when the clutch is depressed. I had the same squeak and I sprayed some lithium lube onto the rod that pushes into the cylinder. The squeak has stopped and not returned. I hope this makes sense. If you look at the slutch assembly from underneath you should be able to find what I'm talking about. I wish I knew what the parts were called so this post didn't sound completely retarded. Good luck.
I have the same problem, is it worth bringing it into the dealer to fix? I do most of my own car work, but I looked around the clutch pedal assembly and I can't really pinpoint where the squeak is coming from. I looked at the cylinder area and I'm really not sure if that's where it originates. Should I just lube up all the parts in there, or bring it to a dealer? Would they just wind up doing the same thing as if I did it myself?
Well I can probably shed some light on this thread. I've had the squeak for a while now. Seems to come and go, and I've noticed seems to happen more when its rainy or humid. I hear it inside the car, but its WAY louder outside the car.
I've taken it to the dealer numerous times. The first time, they lubed the clutch rod at the master pivot. That didn't work. They tried it again, and again it didn't solve the problem. One time I brought it in and they said they couldn't recreate the noise so they couldn't diagnose it or fix it. Another time they just said they can't find anything wrong with it. So I videotaped the sound as I depressed the clutch and showed the tape to the service tech, who was basically dumbfound. He said now it sounded/looked like it was more tranny related as opposed to the clutch pedal assembly.
I've got my car in the shop for a malfunctioning sunroof rite now, and if the pedal still squeaks when I get it back I'm gonna be ____ED. Its a brand new $17 k car, and its a Toyota!!
The squeaking sounds like absolute Sh*% and I won't drive a car that makes that sound. If all of these owners are having the same problem, then there is obviously a defect or something wrong with the cars. Like I said, I've had it in for service at least 5 times and if it doesn't get fixed or toyota/scion doesn't start steppin up to the plate I'm gonna look in to lemon law stuff.
Anyone who has this problem should NOT ignore it or turn the music up. Report it to your dealer and scion. They need to know that there is a problem and that we are not satisfied owners. OVerall, I love the car just as much as anyone else, but I won't accept these problems with a new car. I expected there to be some "ticks" that need to be worked out, seeing as its a brand new production car, but the tc seems to have a slew of problems and I just can't believe that toyota/scion is not aware of them. With all the money scion spends on marketing and sponsorships, you'd think they could afford to find out whats wrong with our cars. The tc obviously sells itself based on looks alone (and the reputation of toyota) its important for consumes to stand up for their rights and demand quality and satisfaction. PM me
